I would like to give my two bit of knowledge about giving ID. The hotel should not need it unless they want to show you booked a room. If the bird or sp booked then why they want is not understood.

If we book we have to give it to reception. Giving away ID has the risk of kala-mail by scammers or SP himself. So if SP is trustworthy no problem. As long we don't bump into LE in the place then also no problem. Only risk is reception giving away to LE which proves nothing since you are not present there.

I gave away my number and filled a form in one MP which worries me a bit. Is it normal for first visit to MP I want to know.
