In fact, higher food and fuel costs are typically anti-inflationary. I know that sounds counter intuitive, but here is the nuance; we don't have the choice to buy food and fuel or not. So if we are paying more for those things that leaves us less money to buy items for which we do have a choice or can easily delay.

Further in their report they say the biggest increase to consumer goods is on used cars and trucks which is a leading indicator for inflation along with groceries, gas and expendables. High inflation equate to economy collapsing.
