Heading to sosua December 4-10 then 10-13 at blackbeards
I've been to the su over 10 times this might be the last time I go for a while. I am starting to branch out and try some new countries. I love the set up in Sosua. Everything on foot the beach is really nice. There's still a great time to be had, but I also see what everyone is saying as far as the overall quality going down and the bullshit. I always manage to have a great time there. I think it's just time for me to see some different scenery.
Follow up on BrotherP's and Sammon's trip reports.
I was in Sosua, not Sousa (thanks Frannie) last week for 5 nights and had a blast as usual.
I stayed at the Alicia Beach hotel. The new operators are doing their best in making improvements. I still love the hotel, it is not on a noisy street and has a nice pool to boot. And breakfast is included. The night security guard is now carrying a shotgun, which is different than before. I hope the place stays in business and I hope the best for the new operators.
Spent a good amount of time with BrotherP on the beach at Fast Freddies and in some of the clubs. He is one of the best mongers that I have met. It was my pleasure hanging with him.
I got there late afternoon Friday, exchanged some money, and almost unpacked. I hit the streets around 7 pm as I was walking past New Garden, I met the sweetest chica from Haiti on the street. I decided to have a drink with her at Bourbon Street; the place was packed. While we were in the restaurant, there were a butt-load of chicas in the place and on the sidewalk outside the place. I did not enough fingers and toes to count them all! It seemed that all was well in Sosua. I took the girl back to the hotel; she was a pistol during rack operations. I was with her a couple of more times during my stay. I introduced her to "Mister Water Jet" in the pool. She loved that damn thing! I will stay in touch with her for sure!
Clubs: On Friday and Saturday nights, all the places seemed packed, as well as on the street. Even on the slower nights, there were many women to chose from. I never go to Clasico's, but I did hang out at Merengue on the slow nights, and the place had plenty of chicas in the place. My go to spot is Sosua Lights. My pal Juan was not there. Miguel told me he was in a hospital in Santiago because he had brain issues. My Spanish is limited in the medical field, so I did not understand all the details. I wish him the best of luck and hope that his family is doing well.
Beach: The beach was quite active with chicas walking and looking for work. There was very little police presence on the beach and on the streets. The girls were not getting rounded up whatsoever.
Girls: I only repeated with two of my past chicas (one is Mr. E's favorite), all the others were new. I never paid more than 2000 and was never pressured for any more money. They were all ST, because my mom does not allow sleepovers.
Sometimes, it's just a matter of luck in Sosua. When I met that sweetie from Haiti, it was by luck walking down the same street. One night, I walking out of Merengue and I walked into this hot 20 year old from SD. We went to Sosua Lights and we had a blast there and back in the hotel.
After a day at the beach with my sweetie from Haiti, we hit the pool for "Mister Water Jet" operations, and then rack operations in the room. Later, I was walking with her because she was headed home. But the night was early, so I kept walking. Then, this motorcycle pulled up right in front of me and it was blocking my path. Then I noticed that the driver was crazy ass Patricia!
Patricia offered me the world for 1000 p and I could not turn her down. Before we went into the room, I checked her for weapons. No weapons; it was game on! She was a blast in the room. But if you do not know her, I would advise extreme caution. The chica is crazy!
Food: I ate at several restaurants and here are my thoughts:
Sinatra's. I had the steak and lobster; it was good.
Ottimo. I had a great pasta dish, but my girl had the lasagna, which sucked!
Baileys. I had a good pasta dish.
Bourbon Street. The gumbo and jambalaya are very good.
Fast Freddies. Good beach food.
Alicia Hotel. Very good free breakfast.
Overall thoughts:
Yes, Sosua is changing, but I hear the same damn thing in every place I visit. I hear it in Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Brazil, Spain, Mexico, PI, Thailand, etc. But times have changed, so we need to adjust with the changing times; it is what it is.
Sosua is still bargain with the peso rate of 50 to 1. For me, coming from San Diego, it is one hell of trip. But I still go there at least twice a year; that's how much I enjoy the place. I will keep returning!
As always, just my pinche two pesos!
