I went today to Claro official shop in Fortaleza and they refused to sell me SIM card with my passport. They ask local ID which obviously I don't have.

Monthly 3 GB data bundle plus the SIM at 30 R$. It was a nightmare to find that specific shop after several attempts from other Claro / TIM in the same city.

Heard some rumblings in another thread devoted to providing Rio de Janeiro Reports that investors in apartments should buy when the market is down and sell when it is up.

Knowing when to hold them and when to fold them also might apply as well as keep an eye on exchange rates. Sell when you get more bang for your buck, euro, yen etc.

Buying a property in Brazil is still interesting, no need to speak portuguese or know how to find an address to buy an apartment. People speak English in real estate agencies, thanks to GPS, you can find a address.

Brazil is not only limited to Zona sul. For example, it's more interesting to buy an appartment in Barra than Zona Sul.

Many people try to sell their property in Zona sul but can't sell. Because of the price, many brazilians are no more interested in buying in zona sul. Brazil is no more the host of world cup or any game. Economy is no more like before.

I hate zona sul, dirty beach, touristic etc.

Apartments in zona sul are more expensive and old with no better facility than apartments in Barra. I live in a very safe area. I live in Barra and opposite the beach (praia reserva) and know what I am talking about. As I say to people, it's no use googling for information.

The beach in Zona Sul is crowded, it's not safe, many people from favela. Adults with good job in Rio de Janeiro buy apartments in Barra. Most apartments in Zona Sul belong to retirees. I don't care about transport because I have my own car when I shop. There are many shops, restaurants, bars and markets in Barra.

Do you mean Praia the reserva in Barra?

There are many beaches in Rio de Janeiro better than Praia da Reserva. Where I live, the beach ( Praia da Reserva) is very clean and very safe, no stupid tourists, no people from favela. But I did not say it's the best beach. I just said beaches in Zona Sul are not good. Crowded, dirty, many people from favela, stupid tourists. There are many beaches in Rio de Janeiro that are better and cleaner, with less people.

Praia da Reserva is very big. Barra da Tijuca is not Copacabana or Ipanema.

I am currently traveling in Brazil inter city with Uber at very low price using some tricks. For example I took a ride from Natal Ponta negra to João Pessoa. Door to Door to the hotel for 200 RS for 184 km distance. How?

I ordered Uber to a fake nearby destination then Cancel the trip withing 2 minute or when the driver already reach to me. From Natal Natal Ponta negra to João Pessoa Uber trip simulation show me 550 RS. I ask the driver how much he want to the real destination and tell him to forget about the fake destination. I told him we are not going to use Uber App so avoiding Uber commission. The driver in that example offer 250 RS instead of 550 RS when using Uber App. Then we settled for 220 RS. So I leave my hotel Door and reach my hotel in other city.

I Did the same trick From João Pessoa to Recife.

Now, I also know how to Avoid ATM redraw fee of 25 RS. Thats next post if anyone interested.
