It's near Accra Road but it's like the Smurf Village It's easy to miss it.

The rooms where OK they even had a working elevator and decent Cable TV The other slight negative is the bathroom floor isn't quite level so there's standing water which draws mosquitos.

But you can find decent Air BnB's for the same price though not in the CBD.

Very funny guy and nice principles... Some people already pay very high price for having principles in corrupt countries like Kenya. Male officer leaves room and female offices goes away for a minute and then comes back with gloves to bodysearch girl. Girl goes in and after a while she comes out again, female offices tells me to come and explains too me nothing was found, how unexpected, right? She tells me to pay girl the 3000 we had agreed on, no way I tell her, she will not get anything more from me. After a lot of arguing female officer realizes I will not pay girl and tell me too wait outside. After sometime male offices tells me I can leave with girl and that I should pay her. We argue some more and eventually even he gets tired of it. He tells me there must be something wrong with me because of all this arguing and the fact that I will stand my grounds no matter what. He actually looks chocked, he is probably used to getting the quick bribe.

So the result from the investigation is that girl looses 6000 ksh which male and female officers split between themselves. Now girl is even more desperate for that 3000 ksh and she wants it like if her life depended on it. He will not leave my side and I tell her I will call taxi to go back to hotel, "then I also come" she says. I realize this * is going to be like a leech until she gets that 3000 ksh. I think why not let her work a little for the money? So I tell her lets walk to hotel then. It is quite far so we argue some more and while walking she ask me if I am satisfied now that she has been humiliated, I tell her no but It is a good compensation for the money I have lost. Back at hotel I ask John how are we going to settle this? He tell me pay the girl or go back to back to police station, at station you will then have to wait until trial starts and that could probably take long time. I then walk to safety deposit box, gather 3000 ksh and give to girl with the comment "I hope you will spend these hard earned pennies wisely, see you at Black Diamond tomorrow?" Girl curses at me as she leaves the hotel.

So what have we learned from this? Do the preparations carefully too minimize the risk that situation like this will appear. Also I have too agree with Neddys advice, better to go Kampala if you do not have good connection in Nairobi that will watch your back if something like this happens. If John did not have his connection maybe it would have ended differently? I did visit Black Diamond 2 more nights and took other girls but my conclusion is that it is almost 99% hardcore ones. I have been with many girls in Kampala even the really hardcore ones and nobody has taken anything from me even if there where a chance, they are much more "down to earth", and the wallet does not complain either. And I know that the corruption within the Ugandan police is not as severe as in Kenya. Compared with most African nations Kenya is well developed but the police is a disgrace and the locals also agree on this. There will be many new charter lines leaving for Mombasa next year and I will with excitement follow how Mombasa and the coastal region will evolve. I think Nairobi is a shithole and not only because of my experience with the ladies, mostly because of the terrible traffic and risks that you face if you walk outside at night. In Kampala I can walk almost everywhere at night. I do though think that Kenyan ladies are more beautiful then Ugandan and the coastal region is nice, though a little too hot and humid. If you want perfect climate go to Entebbe.

What do we learn. Its ALWAYS our own fault by not properly stashing our money away. NEVER let your guard down. About Kampala. You have to watch your back there too. I am not sure if the police is less corrupt there. I honestly doubt it. But overall there is a lot more vultures in Kenya. Never had a serious issue in Uganda. And for that matter in Madagascar. Usually it's better to write off the money as being insistent you might screw yourself even more. As a rule of thumb give everything wearing uniform in Africa a wide berth. Stay away from the hardcores which with a little experience are easy to spot. Pay up your entrance fee to paradise.
Best tactic. Go to police. Get written report for stolen laptop or smartphone and collect insurance money.
