At immigration the lines are not that long and rarely take more than fifteen minutes. If in a pinch one can purchase a pass to get through the expedited line (or arrive business class on Thai Air or some other carriers and it is free) and immigration then would take maybe five minutes at most. Baggage is usually delivered within about 20 or 30 minutes of arrival time, and customs consists of walking past some officers without stopping (unless they peg you as suspicious, which in about thirty trips they never have in my experience).

On the other hand, getting to the airport only one hour before departure may be cutting it a bit close, particularly if flying economy class on an airline that has long check-in lines.

A bit faster if you're between fights and don't need to pick up you luggage. Need to spare around 1 hour to get thru security if you don't need checking either on a stopover. You will probably need a taxi from the airport.

Depending on time of day several options are possible. But midday you can go to Eden on Sukhumvit Soi 7/1 and get a 2-girl 90 minute session for about 4000 bath. With the time you appear to have this could be possible.

IMO all things considered Bell Travel Service works the best. Door to door service, always in aircon, safe and professional. I think it runs about 345 baht these days. Wait, there's a special arrivals hall for Business Class? Damn, I've travelled business class for years with Thai Airways through Bangkok and always get in with the regular crowd. LA Guy, where is this secret arrival immigration section for Business Class.

I always use the business class departure immigration and yes it's super quick, no more than 15 minutes from your car dropping you off to getting through to the biz lounge for Thai Airways.

Because there are a couple of immigration areas, I get confused about exactly where the fast track lane is. In one case, it is maybe 50 meters beyond where you turn left into general immigration. It is a bit of a hole in the wall (I wouldn't go so far as to call it an arrival hall), but is clearly marked (and on the same side as general immigration). But I have also been in a situation where you simply turned right after entering general immigration and there is the fast track lane. I don't know whether this difference represents a change in their configuration, or differences in the configurations of the two immigration areas (there are two, correct?). One potential problem is if you ask someone who looks official where the fast track lane is (as I sometimes have had to do) the odds you will be correctly directed probably runs around 50 percent, maybe slightly more. It might be worth asking a flight attendant about this before landing.

It is strange how in the past Thai Airways handed out fast track coupons before landing, but now keep it a relative secret that you can use fast track by showing the boarding pass. Some other airlines, but not so many, give out fast track coupons, I think Malaysia Air may be one of them; Singapore another. To my knowledge though the only case in which the boarding pass alone suffices is Thai Airways.

Edit: In reading my original post I notice one thing that could be misinterpreted so let me now clarify. Once through the fast track immigration line, you are in the same baggage area all others are in. So, my comments about waiting maybe 20 minutes for baggage, and walking through customs without stopping, apply to everyone, not just business class passengers.

The last 3 times I came back to Thailand, I used this method and I'm no V. I. P. First choice is your regular immigration line, if short I use that, if busy I take out my Thailand Driver License I. The. And use the Thai local line, and once tried it on the V. I. P line and nothing was said to me YET?

Question for experts on Thai visa.

I am scheduled to fly to Phuket via Bangkok.

Do I have to get visa on arrival at Bangkok (First port of arrival) or can get at Phuket too.

The reason the time available between two flights is 90 Minutes, in which I have to get off the plane, get visa on arrival, security and have to board next plane.

My last night in Bangkok I had an interesting experience in Spankys in Nana Plaza. I was there with a girl I had barfined from Soi Cowboy. BTS Skytrain - Ekamai is just a few train stops (about 4 stops) from Nana. Very easy to get there. You can take the BTS or grab a cab depending on your baggage. Should only take about 10 minutes. The bus costs about 124-133 baht.

At the airport you can get the hourly bus to Jomtien. Leaves every hour on the hour. Non-stop and cost about the same price.

Cheers![/QUOTE]You will have to pass immigration to get onto Phuket flight. I think there is a seperate queue for connecting flights so it shouldn't be a issue. Just keep all the documents / money etc ready and rush once your first flight lands.
