We have to understand how UDAID and greepeace and other NGO's work, I have worked with the above NGO's ( non government organisation) in India when i left college.

Their whole eco-system depends upon numbers, they won't exist, if numbers are low, they need to create a panic, a shock therapy to the region they go in.

They have to show number's to get aid from US government, bill and melinda, WHO and UN. Many of the NGO's in India were closed a couple of years back, when the story broke out how these NGO's cooked the numbers and got millions of dollars in aid for HIV prevention.

On top that, they do little work to even address the problem. I'm from a third world country, i have worked with these NGO's directly and indirectly, Im from India, which these folks says has the highest number of HIV cases outside africa.

and i have visited most bars in Mumbai than any other folks in ISG and my post confirms it, not to brag at all, but to point out that, i have to take this to the heart and point out the cheats that promote HIV scare to get more funding.

Here, many folks are relying on media which we know is biased and controlled by corporation...im the ground guy, got ground information on how these NGO's work. For years, these guys were boxed that Filipinos do not use condom often and yet they have low HIV infection than other countries combined with truck load of immigrants that come and go out of high infected areas.

They are running out of options in India and they could not find a better corrupt government than PH one, they pick and choose the place, only third world with more corruption so that they can thrive on it.

They are not concerned about how it might impact tourism, not at all, they are global, they dont care about a specific place.

We need to understand that.... they are money mongers :), they sniff from place to place and dump there scary shit and take money. They will care less if tommarrow pH is sunk into the ocean... all they want is money and what better way to get more donation than in the name of HIV.

It just fumbles me that suddenly out of no where, these news reports are coming that HIV is high in PH, exactly what they did 12 years ago in India, people were stoned to death in India by falsifying some folks that they have HIV, it was that scary back then.

The reality is HIV was created in the lab, that is the reason some people in different regions get more infected than others. Else, how would anyone explain the Filipino HIV paradox..

Remember swine flu few months back, how they scared the whole world and forced the people to take shots and made millions, why isn't everyone linking that incident to HIV scare tactics.

I hav just had two weeks living in the boonies, and I mean the boonies. Rural, subsistence farming.

Everybody I met there spoke English, except two or three.

I spoke to entire schools of kids, and al spoke English. store keepers, fishermen, farmers.

All spoke English.

As for filipinas, I generally stay away from P4P, except as a backup. I have a number of reguklar gf. None have asked for money. All would marry me in an instant. It did not take lots of effort before we were intimate. In fact, in every case I can remember, it was the woman who stripped off and was ready to go.

Howevr, I am interested in more mature women, late 20's, to mid 30's, who know what they want, and go for it.

:) Its a matter of convenience for the government to say HIV jumped from monkeys to man just like swine flu jumped from pigs to man.

Which is infact true but how did monkey got that virus in the first place and most of all, why aren't all monkeys in Africa dead by now ? monkeys never wear condoms, monkeys are not dying of AIDS left and right, but the government theory would have you believe that, after transferring men the virus, they somehow got the immune system strengthened.

Monkeys are not in the brink of extinction like polar bear, why aren't all the monkeys were killed in Africa just like they proposed and did in many cases to cull millions of pigs in mexico? Whole villages and small towns in Africa died of AIDS yet monkeys somehow are still roaming free in Africa.

But there is a monkey form of HIV. It is called Simian Immunodeficiency Virus (SIV) and is much older than HIV. One theory (there are many) is that the virus made the species jump via the butchering and consumption of monkey meat in West Africa. Another theory is that the virus was the result of live polio vaccine trials held in the late 50’s. It is not what you know but who you know that is the important thing. The ultimate form of corruption it also ensures that often inferior minds end up in the top jobs which adds further to the cycle of degeneration.

For this reason it is important for a foreigner (particularly those wishing to run a business) to make as many acquaintances and connections, amongst the business and local government communities, as possible. These are often invaluable aids in smoothing the wheels of bureaucracy and opening doors. My own minor connections have been very useful to me in the past but oddly enough, it is my teenage son who has the really powerful contacts. Through his education at a top Manila school he has many close friends amongst the elite. His best friend has a surname that most long term Philippine expat residents would immediately recognize and another friend is a member of the top acting dynasties in the country. He tells me that when he goes clubbing with his mates to The Fort, they usually get VIP passes. He also jokes that if I upset him he could probably get me thrown out of the country which isn’t so funny as, knowing the way things work here, it is quite possibly true!

The sad truth of the Philippines is that most of the population are poor and will always be poor and this is exactly the way that the powers-that-be want it to remain.

Well, not only the powers that be. There are also many others who like to make sure that Filipinas have no other choice but to take it once in the pussy and twice in the ass after choking on some nuts.

Catholicism exists in many countries and it doesn't mean the country is poor. Although I agree that the birth and other policies of the Catholic church contribute to hardships in the country, I find it hard to accept that the Catholic church wants the average Filipino to "remain poor".

Not to be argumentative. But it is much easier to control/influence a population when the majority of its people are poor. Its the poor who have to turn to the church and beliefs for relief. The more affluent a population becomes the less dependent they are upon the church. Along with making the church more accountable for its actions.

Its only in the wealther countries where the church has been taken to task for its priest being pedaphiles, the issue of gay rights, Priest allowed to marry. You have not heard of any of these issues in the poorer predominate catholic countries like PI, Mexico. Why do you think that is.

Maybe its just the churches policies in already economically depressed society which help to keep them down. Such as the advocation of "no birth control" which only leads to over population, which in turn, makes it harder for a country to prosper.

Couldn’t have put it better myself! If The Philippines were a wealthier country, the invidious, reactionary influences of the Church would be tangentially lessened. So in order to maintain its power base, the Catholic Church here benefits from and have a vested interest in maintaining the poverty of the people and their anti-birth control policies serve nicely as a tool for ensuring that. A wild over-simplification maybe, and obviously not stated policy but it is a fact that the Church remains the most powerful non-governmental institute in this country and wishes to remain so, whereas in wealthier Catholic countries the influence of the church has declined markedly and it has very little political clout.

There is a very high positive correlation between the level of influence of the Catholic Church and the level of poverty in a country. The more Catholic, the more poor. Check it out for yourselves. Nominally Catholic countries such as Spain, Italy, and Argentina have relatively less poverty and relatively lower birth rates whereas countries with higher rates of church attendance such as Mexico, The Philippines, and Peru have higher poverty rates, by far.

Go to the main cathedral in Bogota and ponder the juxtaposition of all the gold inside the church and all the beggars outside of it. That will give a very clear picture.
