Funny you mention this! I was thinking exactly along those lines when I hear first hand stories from Thai women that are married to farang. I see some farangs that are with or married to Thai women take the position that I make and supply the money so do as I say! They live in Thailand but refuse to eat, listen or watch Thai music or movies and lock their women in Farang living projects. I do believe in a level of appreciation to the individual that has made their lives better as long as the person isn't beating them. Loyality seem to be embedded into their culture to help and appreciate their family but when it comes to the farang husband there is a double standard. From what I'm seeing and hearing it seems like what most farangs are telling me is true. That we will always be looked at first " as a ATM "

I will say it first before someone else does! We should seriously think about moving this discussion to the living in Thailand thread or opinions before someone else complains about us not talking about sex enough.

Try hooking up with a filipina - you marry the entire family (family as defined as extended, cousins, aunts, uncles et al). Same with Vietnamese.

What always amazes me is the propensity of Thai girls to "bite the hand that feeds them". I have had two Thai girlfriends that I "helped" a lot and no matter what I did, it never seemed to be enough. Rather than being nice about it, they both would get nasty and accuse me of all sorts of things. Not very smart when I was the meal ticket.

Yeah, but these tickets were not for free either.

Easy on the gurls guys, and easy on yourselves. its a mutual relationship, you get love and sex, and they get money and good life in returen. When it is time for breakup, they might get nasty, like any creature or a lady on earth, or emotionally abuse you to stay with them.

As there are more than 3000 threads in the Bangkok forum, it's impossible for me to go through all. As it's my first time in Thailand, I hope someone will be kind enough to briefly answer these 3 simple questions:

1. What is the best/most exclusive club/disco in Bangkok (I mean the place where the local rich young guy who drives a Porsche goes)

2. What are the best places to pick up Freebies (even if they expect a tip at the end = semi-pro), i.e. where do the good looking ones go?

3. What are the best places to get good looking PROs (those that mention cash in the first 5 min of conversation).

When I say "good-looking", I refer to Philippines standards at least.

Ok guys, i feel obliged to report on my few escapades here.

First i decided to try massage places, i stay near PatPong, so i went for JC infinity.
Infinity: location is very easy to follow, end of patpong 1 across the streed if you are facing the big hotel, it is on your left side, take the escalator to up.

Went inside, greeted by the manager, well dressed Guy, looks professional.
Asked about where do i know them from "as i avoided all the boys who yell massage massage" I told him that my friends visit the place and they told me about it, they also report in a forum online.
May be he didn't get what is it, but anyway.
I ordered a Singha beer (local) only available in big bottle. 150 Baht, not bad, i took my time checking the gurl, i took #30, She was in the very back row, i thought she is taller. She told him i want her, she came and we talked for a while, i was sipping beer. I should have rejected to go to the room with her, but i was hesitant about the attitude or how they would accept it. Anyway, she wasn't as she looked from far, but i thought to keep going. IF not a good fuck it would be a good massage.
We went to the room, started to fill the bath, i layed on my face and waited for her, Started with massage, only 15 minutes she said lets go to the bathtub... bummer... her massage wasn't good anyway.
Started to rub me with the soap and took around another 30 minutes to finish my body "yes i'm big". Finished rubbing and then great Body to body massage, only great beacuse my first time with such slippery body. She mixed oil with soap and was doing alot of things that i liked.

Anyway, finished, walked around in Patpong. looked for Verstile or something like that, behind the hotel, but it was closed with a sign (no service anymore)

Next day went to Ogoto, i had Cee who someone reported about her before, the other gurl he reported wasn't there.
Payed full serice, oily not soapie,
long story short, rooms are much smaller, place is not even half good as infinity, but massage was one of the best. the gurl was very very responsive, she got wet and was enjoying it (i think) as much as i did.
Damage was 2500+ 500 for the lady (3000 bhat) drink was included for free.
No pushing no rush, amazing experince with a real massage and a real booty.

Anyway, next 2 days, been to NANA, alot of very hot shemals, but i'm not into that, wish they didn't have dicks. Couple of drinks in the bar below to watch beauties come and go. Then back to home. Next day went to Soi Cowboy, reports were accurate, the only place i found with nude and lesbian show was Sheiba. I met a gurl name is One, she is #11. She is cute, nice , kind and very gf style. I couldn't take her to hotel as my work colleagues are all over, told me about a hotel nearby for 350 for ST. Bar fine is 600 bhat and girt charges is 2000 Bhat, which was negotiable.
Anyway, couple of drinks and back to Nana, checked ladywitch, show is not bad, but no nudity. it was 1 am, i got back to patpong and went to kangroo bar. Exactly as described before. Long story short, i went up, greeted by 3 ladies, 2 old, 1 is not very old. Ordered a beer, both rooms were busy. One man out, i choose the not old lady and choose bombom. Room is filthy and i had the quicky and went home.
Experince worth it, not to enjoy it but to try it. damage was 1300 bhat for the bomboom FS, 100 for drink, 100 for lady, total 1500 bhat. not so bad for new experience.

Most Soapies don't provide proper massage but some do have special Thai Massage sections:
Nataree, CopaCabana, ChaoPraya2, ChaoPraya 3 etc.

If you wanted an Oil massage then go to an Oily MP.

Ogoto has both, I think. Selene/Tharnthong complex has Soapy, Thai and Oily but in a strange location (Ratchada Niwet north of Meng Jai intersection).

Tip the Papsan/cheerperson if they were helpful 100 or more if very helpful. Tip the drink lady 20 or so. Maybe even the soap supplies lady 20. Tip the girl if she was good. Yes too many people to tip but only the girl provides the sex so she is the one to get a big tip ;)

Best to find out how much the girl gets of the original fee to gauge a fair tip.

I am visiting Bangkok (and maybe Pattaya or Chiang Mai) for two weeks in October. This is primarily R&R and I plan to partake in a wide range of the activities discussed daily on this board. I have been to Thailand before but have always had travelling companions that have hindered the full on experience. I plan on needing a vacation after my vacation!

I am a photographer and am going to do a range of night photography (before, during and after other things). My plan is to cover the land of Sumkumvit: nana parking lot, The Sumkumvit street scene, Soi 33, Soi Cowboy, maybe Patpong, etc. I am a pro and will be using a wide angle camera called a Wideluxe with a tripod.

The questions: If I work discreetly will I be able to take the shots?; Will payments of say 200 Baht cover my getting girls on the street to pose – do I need to do this?; Will people Freakout or will they relax – I have shot all over the world and am a good people photographer which means I know how to work with strangers.

I am considering having a color card made up with some of my photographs and an explanation of what I am doing in a short Thai sentence. A good idea? Over kill? Will this look too professional and therefore people will want $$$$? It worked in China but china isn’t Thailand – especially sukumvit.

Any good insight, advice from LOS veterans?

Appreciate your report Yoksha, after all that tiresome complains about dishonest and unreliable Thais. I guess if the Thais would be as honest and serious like westerner, it woudn't be the place were we could have such a good time. It would be as boring as the UK where I have to stay since March this year. Everybody is honest and correct but not much p4p.

I would rather like to know good p4p places in BKK Chinatown. Since I plan to spent my holiday in LOS.

I'm Chinese and have been to China many,many,many times and to my mother and father village even before it opened up like it is today. And from my own experience and growing up with my parents teaching it is nothing like the Thai culture expectation.

Bangkok is an easy place to shoot. Most people are cool, though occasionally bargirls, customers, managers etc. can get a bit spooked due to past problems with NGO do-gooders. Stay relaxed, keep smiling, and back down gracefully when you sense you should. But I'm guessing you know all that.

No need for a card with Thai. Most people in the areas you'll be photographing understand enough English that you can just tell them. But a small portfolio of tearsheets (or better yet, a book, if you've published one) can be useful at times when you need to establish legitimacy.

I'll answer this one, at least. The current hot place for the HiSo crowd is JET on Ekkamai. I was there the other night, (despite really being too old to hang out there) and I've never seen so many absolutely stunning girls in one place in all my years here. But, unless you're relatively young, handsome, and extremely well dressed, these girls wouldn't give you the time of day.

Peter, I was chilling out in PatPong corner cafe called Muzzik.
There was an American guy there sitting with a Thai Gf i believe. This guy was stopping any girl that looked stunning and just get out of his pocket 100 bhat and ask her to pose looking to the camera, then looking back to the camera with her body facing the other way.
IT was cool with most girls but some ladies just said no. and it was cool.

His approach was provoking to some people (me included) as he just stop the gurl, get out the money and point to the camera, but anyway, it is up to the girls to decide.
This Muzzik cafe is opposite to some clock in or card punch for working girls, so a good point to capture the ladies coming to work in Patpong
