After years on SXM, I have decided to give CUR a shot. It'll be my first time there. I'm pretty confident that I have familiarized myself with Campo's location and how they operate, the cost of chicas, currency exchange, car rental, etc.

What I would love some tips on are things that I couldn't really find searching through earlier posts in this thread.

I will be travelling with a couple of buddies. As much as we love casas, we also like hitting the bar / club scene and trying our game there with the local / visiting population. Is there any kind of nightlife on this island? Suggestions and / or comments are appreciated.

My recommendation concerns the first thing you'd have to do after arriving: finding your hotel. I had a little trouble my first time in CUR, so I'll list some ideas that should help newbies.

When travelling, I normally make a hotel reservation and rent a car at the airport; but this technique didn't work for me in CUR. If your hotel's website supplies specific driving directions and a map, you should find your hotel OK in CUR. There aren't many street signs in CUR, so it's a mustthat the directions be specific; just having the address may not be enough. (Also, be sure to ask for a free street map at the rental car counter.) Where there ARE street signs in CUR, they usually show the neighborhood name (Otrabana, Santa Maria, etc) instead of the street name, which can further add to the confusion.

I tried to save a little money by finding a less expensive hotel on [URL]Priceline.com[/URL], but the two places I tried were located in "residential" areas (slums, actually) which made them very difficult to find since the hotel did not provide driving directions. Also because of their locations, I never felt 100% safe. Priceline didn't warn me they were located in bad neighborhoods, not even in the User Comment section, which makes me wonder whether those comments are censored.

So my top recommendations would be:

1. pay the extra $20-$40/ night for a major / resort hotel, at least for the first 2 nights. If you want to save money after that, fine. Willemstad is not a big town, so you'll probably have a decent feel for where all the main roads are during your first full first day there. Then you can go in person and check out a cheaper hotel, to make sure it's not a total dump. There are usually plenty of rooms available (except during the winter / holiday season), so you won't have to worry about not having an advanced reservation.

2. Take a cab from the airport to your hotel. It saves the hassle of driving around lost in a foreign city. Once you're at your hotel the concierge or front desk can help you get a rental car, which will be delivered to you at your hotel. If you want to go to Campo the first night and if it's too late to get your rental, a cab to Campo should only cost $15-$20. This is well worth it to avoid getting lost, especially at night.

Lastly, you probably already know that Campo is one block off the main road from the airport to downtown (FDRweg). But when I was there in April, there was no sign that tells you where to turn. Don't worry, this is not a big problem. Once you drive past eastern end of the airport, FDRweg bends to the south. There are only about 3 side streets that go east off of FDRweg in that neighborhood. Pick any of them and drive about 200 yards east. Campo will be on your left, through the trees. If you don't see the big green leaf sign or hear the pulsing music from the bar, go back and try the next side street. You'll probably find Campo on your first or 2nd try.

Curacao is a small island but a little complicated gettin to places if you don't know your way around. So I will suggest you to move around with somebody that knows the island or live there. But of course if you are an adventurous person and want to dig some places on your own, there are some options. First of all get yourself a rental car (its a must!

OK assuming you are monger and want to try some other spots with Latin chicas (which are well known here as most working girls) you can try these spots:

DE Rode Leeuw.

(ex brothel but now re-opened as regular nightclub) location on the main strip to Sta. Catharina north east of curacao if you take Sta Rosa weg and follow directions to Sta. Catharina.

You can find at least 20 fine ass Sexy Venezuelan girls from Tuesday -Sunday from 9 pm-3. Am weekends tend to be a lot busier with plenty of 9 and 10 to be had. No cover but expect to pay drinks for the girls $3 each witch can add up very quickly depends of the time you spend with the girl talking and dancing.

Tutu Tango.

Regular nightclub in Salina -promenade area close to Tony Roma's restaurant and pizza hut. When you get off the main bridge coming from otra banda keep straight till you get in Salina pass the MC Donald keep heading straight toward pizza hut its going to be right across the street behind the high rise building (there is not much to be seen there so you can't miss the building).

Once there you will be in Colombians lair. Opens Friday and Saturday which Saturday the highlight day. $6 cover price on Saturdays.

Bandera Latina Nightclub.

Location rio Canario in the mid section of curacao (Sta. Maria) area. Passing the former curacao head police station.

If you like some Dominican nightlife style you should check this one out. They open Friday to Sunday from 10 p. M till 7 a. M or 8 am but it get busy after 2 clock because most people gets there when the other clubs starts to close.

Dominican women (the most) an also Colombians and Venezuelan can be had here most of them for free if you have some game! No cover only on special occasions (if they have a band playing that night) $3 max!!

If you looking into something more diverse you can try:

The Boulevard at SEAQUARIUM.

Lots of locals, dutch and tourist of course because its in a main tourist area (most young people to be found here tho).

Zanzi Bar & Beach.

That's located at the janthiel beach south east curacao take the caracasbaai and drive till you hit the beach follow directions. Locals and most international to be found here any given time of the day.

This is just some of the main know places but there are a lot of other places to be explored but with the help of some local mongers you will have plenty of more options and fun.

The hotel thing isn't an issue for me, as my friends and I almost always rent out a house. In my searching so far, it seems the pricing for rentals in CUR is much less than that in SXM, which is great.

You mentioned Curacao's strip clubs and adult resorts. From reading this forum, I was under the impression that Campo was the only action on the island. Are there others? Don't get me wrong, it seems like Campo will have more than enough to keep me occupied.

For those of you that visit CUR often, there must be times when you feel your johnson is about to fall off from all the pounding, and you need to give it some down time. Where do you go / what do you do to pass the time?

Anyone on the island now? I'm a late 20's guy that traveled to Curacao solo. Stumbled upon Campo once I got here, but feel totally awkward going solo.

But even if no one replies to your post, you should consider just going for it. I recently spent my first week in Curacao and I went to Campo by myself every night. (Note: on weeknights, many of the ladies didn't even come out of their rooms until 10:30 pm. After that, things got quite lively.) Yes, it felt really awkward at first; I was very, VERY nervous! But I think it's one of those things you just have to push yourself to do. I found that over 90% of the ladies were very friendly and easy to get along with; but most will wait for you to make the first move. If you think a lady is pretty, just walk up and introduce yourself. (Use a fake name if it makes you more comfortable.) Even if you don't speak Spanish (I don't), she should greet you in return. If she seems uninterested, stand-offish, or rude in any way, just politely say "no" or "gracias", walk away, and move on to someone else. If she seems friendly enough, ask her to take you to her room. It may seem like it should be more complicated than that, but it really doesn't have to be.

Quick pricing note: The entire week I was there, only one lady asked me for more than the usual 50 guilder price. You probably won't have to pay more than 50 unless you ask for something quite special. I had an incredible hour-long GFE for 100 guilder with a gal whose body was cartoonishly curvaceous. (Sorry guys. I didn't write down her name. I didn't know about this forum until after my trip, so I'm not prepared to write individual reviews of the ladies I partied with. Next time, for sure).

(I also did a quick search of this thread and couldn't find any further info about these clubs.).

So when I finally went to CUR, Campo was my only "adult" destination. Today I found a list (below) of Curacao strip clubs at another site; the poster claims that the ladies at these places also do PayForPlay. Some of these clubs have been mentioned in this thread before, so you can use the "Search Thread" feature for more specifics. Most of the posts I saw about them say "the price was too high" or "not enough selection" or "it's in a bad neighborhood".

So here is a question for you frequent Curacao-mongers. Have any of you ever had a good PayForPlay experience at any location other than Campo?

Even if this list is accurate, look at the prices mentioned; they're all 3 to 15 times more than Campo. With so many beautiful women at Campo, the cost / quality / quantity factors are probably the reasons Campo gets the most hype. Plus, I always felt safe at Campo since there are quite a few security guards there. I never saw things get out of hand (no drunk guys fighting, etc.).

Prices: 10 g entrance fee, includes 1 drink. Asking 125 g in house and 300 g take out. 8+ Chicas, mostly Dominicans.

Chi Ku Cha Club, Porta Rico Weg in the industrial zone of the island. 6+ Chicas. Prices: 80 g take out.

La Flor Copa Cabana, On the main road from the airport past Campo-Alegre and then make a right on Peru Weg across from the Alves Supermarket. Make the first left behind the car wash and the place is directly over the hill.

Red Lion. (Not sure if it is still open?) 20 min. From the Hilton. Prices: 185 g.

La Tasca, Otrabanda. (Not sure if it is still open?) Hours: till 4-5 am.

As you can see, my last post was about strip clubs. However, in the post before that I replied to the wrong post from DavisLucJr. So it looks like I'm replying to his question about adult resorts, but in fact I was trying to reply to his question about "hitting the bar / club scene and trying our game there with the local / visiting population". Sorry for any confusion.

In other words, I was trying to say that Mambo Beach Club, Wet and Wild Beach Club, Club Xclusive, and Best Casino are places where I've heard that you can meet non-pros. (However, I've also heard from several sources that, in the Caribbean, some non-pros are actually "semi-pro". So that's something to be alert for.).

At JohnnyVegas. In my personal experience, no amount of alcohol will counteract the effectiveness of V or see. However, it will affect my ability to "finish". Sucks if you have a 30-minute session, but if I'm doing a TLD or TLN, then I can just go for what seems to be indefinitely. Eventually the chicas start getting annoyed though, so I try not to get too hammered.

Xanadont, I think the list you found is rather outdated as all of the places have been shut down a long time ago. Campo is the only credible place especially for foreigners due to the secure location and almost a guarantee of getting a girl to suit each person's taste. There are a couple of really local bars on a street called Cubaweg which are frequented by locals (was taken to the place by a local friend of mine a few days ago) where there are a lot of latin women sitting around the bar. They earn their keep by convincing you to "buy" them a drink and they get a cut of about US $5 for each drink from the house. I heard some of them will also go back to your hotel with you if you pay the bar a US $55 fee for taking the girl out and then separately for the girl.

I was at Campo the same night and found a very nice Dominican light skinned young one (24 years old) with small natural tits. Got a fantastic BBBJ followed by covered sex. She tried really hard though at some point tried to rush me into finishing saying time's up. But no hustling for extra money and did the BBBJ within the ANG50 (US $28) fee for 20-30 minutes. Alcohol is a depressent that inhibits the central nervous system. That's important for sexual performance.

It also dehydrates you. These two things alone are only going to affect your sexual performance in a negative way and make it more difficult to have an erection.
