Dr,
The first thing that comes to mind with coughing and blood is tuberculosis (TB). It is very contagious. Not trying to scare you, but worth getting tested.
To Mr. Dorman who was so helpful previously, my promised report on quick Jakarta stop and Amaris Hotel coming soon.

JAD
I certainly agree that TC was probably pushing the envelope a bit with the full nudity titty shows on Saturday afternoons, I hadn't seen the Sunday shows although I had heard that they did once get some of the freelancers to give it a go and given the "profile", as you call it, of some of those girls that indeed was probably just asking for trouble.
I'm interested in what you say about the possibility of a raid on Prinsen Park, I always dislike getting a room there in a certain corridor on one particular floor as invariably there are half a dozen Ambonese looking driver/bodyguard types hanging around outside a couple of the rooms, it's a bit off putting walking through them every time you come or go out of your room. It must be obvious to all that something dodgy is going on in those rooms.
Would you recommend avoiding the Lokasari area for a few weeks?

Operation 'Bunga'
This morning's Kompas had an article on Operation Bunga, reportedly to rid Jakarta's MPs of prostitution. They gave examples of a few 'successful' raids on Friday night, targeting high-end Kota MPs known to have both Indonesian and foreign WGs. The report said Operation Bunga will continue. And that it was not related to politics or bribes. Careful out there.

Tiga Kuda
I went to TK a few days ago. I had to pay 50k upfront to get in with a free drink. At 0.30 am only a few people were in but before 3.00 it got fully packed with 95% arab guys then later on arrived african guys. Many girls but most of them under mamasans supervision and many were not really good looking to say the least. But if you want to try and find something different notably indo-arab (yemen origin) girls... Actually it seemed that most of people, including the girls, really enjoy the place as 99% of them were dancing and not only hanging around the bar as in most of hotel clubs. Left at 05.30 am alone.
Worth experiencing unless you can't stand arab music which is not my case.

The Saturday issue of the Jakarta Globe reported that Malioboro too had been raided and women, particularly foreigners from PRC, Russia etc. had been picked up. I thought that high-end spa-bordellos were safe from such raids and paid the cops not to trouble them.
Anyone having any information on why these places are being raided? Is this a new policy?
JAD or any of the Jakarta regulars know why this is so?
.... It must be obvious to all that something dodgy is going on in those rooms.
Room 508 (if I am not mistaken) has been used for a psychic practice every weekend. The industry's latest service innovation is a psychic consultation for corruption cases. This may sounds stupid, but it sells to high value clients.
Would you recommend avoiding the Lokasari area for a few weeks?
I leave it to you to decide!
JAD or any of the Jakarta regulars know why this is so?
It is an illegal activity in the first place. I believe pay off, coordination, and connection only prevent the LEs from conducting daily raids. But, LEs still conduct regular raids on a looser time interval.
In most cases, the owners never got arrested and persecuted. I once brought up a bordello raid issue and how the media coverage affects the business to a bordello manager. I still remember he said, "free advertising!"
BTW, Raja Group controls Medika, Rasa Sayang, Athena, Rajamas, Sumo, and Malioboro. If you check the board of commissioners and directors, you will learn the same people control a prominent newspaper in Jakarta.

Risky time at TC
Went there last Saturday pm hoping to see some action. Felt really strange when I walked in there. Not many girls and many strangely looking guys just watching you and not drinking or chatting with anyone. Large number of girls are out on the little alleys next to the join and not coming in. Put two and two together and quickly get the hell out of there not even finished me 1st drink. Later heard there was a quick raid of the place but not sure happened before or after me arrival but I did fail to see the writing on the wall and not suppose to walk in there in the first place. My street skill need brushed up.
Be careful between now and x mas guys. Things are not normal this year.
Having said that, went to Travel today and things are back to normal and, as always, enjoyed meself very much la.

Normal in Kota
I spent some time this week down at Berlian and Kartika, and everything seems to be normal. I had a great romp with a new girl at Kartika. I think her name is Aan. I also enjoyed Wiwin at Berlian. She's tall and skinny and tight. Her skin is a little roughed up, so better keep the light tuned down. But a real trooper in terms of service.

How much was the damage at both places?

Strip shows?
Any advice on strip shows or lap dancing in Jakarta?

More police raids
I was heading to Kartika yesterday about 2pm. Saw a couple of police motorbikes parked at the entrance to the lane, some of the locals confirmed there was a raid going on. I headed elsewhere, of course.
Another reminder to be careful at the moment.

Hi Bro,
TC used to have it but not anymore, heavy raids past two week, makes everyone hold back on the good times.
My humble two cents.
