I cannot stress enough
My main reason for the trip was dental related and the cost of the dental paid for the trip and mongering on the USA price period. I had 2 root canals and a tooth broke and I only spent $135 usd.
Only problem is if you have complications or need follow up care. Expensive to fly back to Mde.
How cheap it is to fly out of Florida to Medellin. 2 root canals with a post and fixing a broke tooth is nearly $5 k in the USA. I speak Spanish fluently and I know a ton about medical procedures and medicine, the biggest difference so far in the quality of care that I have witnessed, was the price. Most Americans have every reason in the world to doubt that you could receive better care in a 3rd world country, but so far, I'm very impressed with the quality of care provided by the dentist and medical teams in Medellin! Pollo negro is out!.

I cannot stress enough
Was in Plaza Botero today, there were lots of girls, many of not all borderline age wise. Not a single one (I tired at least 10) could produce a seedula or passport that would allow her entry into my place at Hotel Nutibarra. I'll leave it at that.
I can understand your nervousness, and concern. My hotel only checks ID if I ask them to check it. They never allow any girls up to my room without checking with me first and never allow them to leave without calling up to my room and ensuring that its OK that the girl leaves. Nutibarra has its own sets of rules, that's why I have never resided there. I was in centro for the past week and 2 things that I have learned about Medellin that no one can get me to change is this: 1. Always have an umbrella and 2. Pay attention to the drop in temperature at night. I've had members offer me nicer hotels at nearly the same rate at the hotel in which I stay, but after 18 visits and numerous colds, I'm good. I'm very sensitive to temperature changes. I learned if I keep one window open and my fan near the window, the room cools off nicely for me at night. Unlike Bogota, where I nearly froze due the a 30-35 degree drop from south Florida's temperature, each monger must find his own threshold for tolerating Medellin. This was my fifth trip this year and I have only become sick once, due to being in the rain and staying in an air conditioned room. You are not blind, you are not crazy, you know when a girl is old enough and when she is not, if she seems too young, ask for the cédula and if she can't produce it, then move on! But hotel Nuttibarra seems to find a way to squeeze a peso out of its patrens! Pollonegro is out!
Today's rate:

Never change money at the airport. In any country.
If you use the ATM, just get enough to get into town.
Where do you recommend doing it then?

Converting USD
The large shopping malls have "Casas de Cambia" with the best exchange rate. Also. ATMs are excellent, too. I used the Casa de Cambia at the Premium Plaza shopping mall. Any ATM of a major bank is good. I used Bank of Columbia. You'll need a debit card from your local bank, though.
You're right, every airport, everywhere is a rip off! I checked Miami and MDE.
Have fun!
Try Andre's Carne for dinner. Outstanding!

Detal Care
Yep, it's a good idea to take advantage of that. I dropped into a dental office at the Premium Plaza and got a routine cleaning. Cost me $30 USD. I plan to return and get a couple implants next year. Will do my research first and probably save money money than the cost of the entire trip to MDE. Thinking about moving there, too.

Of course all anyone has to do is spend a day walking around any Colombian city. Look at the people, especially those under 25. Compare them to the people you see in the US. They are healthier. They have better teeth, better skin, better bodies.

All of the casas de cambio have terrible exchange rates as well, way below what you would get from a bank ATM.

Feria de las Flores
Curious as to whether this is a good or bad time for mongering in Medellin. I noticed that flights and accommodations are more expensive than usual. While I'm sure the festival itself is wonderful. How does it affect the scene?

Hello Amigos,
All your info are great helpful in my journeys. I thought of sharing my experience as I reached to Medellin 3 days back. I will be staying 5 more days as I write this.
Day 1 : Reached around 4 pm then booked uber a lot of hassle to find uber driver in the middle of local cabs. Anyways I reserved room in Art Hotel Poblado everything is great wish there were better lights in the room.
Visited Parque Lleras around 10:30 pm to have some nice dinner after good sleep. Food was great in Basilica costed 70 mil I guess for each. Then visited gusto club, cover was 15 mil ordered beer don't remember the price felt expensive for Colombia. Lot of silicon girls. I was confused to try a girl in gusto club or go somewhere. Since its too late. I went with a blonde as attached below her WhatsApp pic. She looked stunning just like pornstar Kyla Kayden. Agreed for the damage of 400 mil for 4 hrs. Came back to hotel receptionist told me that I can bring in 1 guest for free and if I bring new guest after 8 pm cost will be 45 $ US. I thought I did a mistake bringing her first.
I told her to take Bath and she got ready with sport swim suit covering her under boobs. She looked great just a scar on her thighs. I was like dam I caught a nice fish. Then realized fish was rotten. Started with cowboy First she was too slow taking break and a lot of phone calls kinda started making me discomfort. To bring me up again pulled the suit completely to see those boobs in the process slight inner thread cut off I mean very slight. She shouted as someone trying to kill her. I told her to relax I pay for it. I was kind to her with all nonsense break and phone calls of her. Then we started again but a soon as I saw her under boobs my mood was off. Her under boobs was black white patches like something swelled. I know the surgery marks but this was some kind of infection. No mood to continue I immediately stopped told her its over and leave. Before leaving she asked me to give 50 $ US for the dress. WTF I was still kind to her and asked her what brand it is. She didn't reply. She started arguing and not ready to leave the room. I lost my cool and done with this Google translator mess. Told her enough and gave her 50 mil pesos and showed the door to leave. Finally she decided to leave as she realized nothing more can be grabbed. She stole redbull when I was in bathroom. I checked other stuff missing or not. I kept important things in locker before. Don't pick that girl if you guys go to gusto and I forgot her name sorry.
Day2 : Me and other friends decided to go to Guatape. Place was amazing. Anyway that story shouldn't be here but 1 friend decided to stay back since he already made plans before leaving US about this Escort agency he was hyped about called geisha Academy. Turns out he said they sent him a "she was dude type" and looked no similarities as pictures. He sent her back right away.
As a advice avoid Geisha academy especially the girl named Salome.
We all wanted good club after tiring climb on to hill. Went with luxury club since its a top end club in the reviews. A lot of locals and place was too clumsy. Hmm I wondered how this considered as top end. Anyways some place to call shots. Most Girls were in groups or with BFs they looked like rich locals. Doing birthday parties, Rich local dude scoring girls or just girls night. Not a place for gringos. There were no gringos other than us. Music was too load not pleasant just like a tin-can. Not able to hear anything even someone shouting close to my ears. After few shots my friends were not interested with girls on that night. Since Next day we had plans to go to Loutron. I decided try since most were locals. Got a few rejects not into money or gringo and 1 was interested also not into money. She spoke little English. Due to loud music we were speaking very close. Her mouth was a trash bin. I decided to agree with my friends and go back to sleep.
Day 3 Loutron:
A lot of gringos and place was 20 min from Poblado. The lineups was unreal like 10 girls working and some booked. Everyone was 7+ . I went with girl named Keya (not sure how to spell) . She looked great like pornstar Mackenzee Pierce but C-cups. 2 hrs with damage of 600 mil and 100 mil tips. Had a great time. I came 2 times. She was very co operative but like other Escort rules No Kissing, fingering or ass touching. She told no photos so I couldn't take any.
While waiting for my friends I see girls were rotating 15 min after their previous session including the girl I picked. She gave me the kinky smile as she walked with someone into the room.
I will keep updated how it goes in next few days and any suggestions welcome.
Before visiting I tried Colombian cupid as everyone talked about with premium account. I found a lot of Fake profiles or Categories of Women with kids finding Man wanted for Financial and also few pregnant girls finding daddy for the unborn child. Girls lie a lot here be careful on that. I got few contacts but not so interested to meet them or time to chat with them with translating mess better pick someone whom you see.

Dental care
I'm looking to get some dental work done while I'm in Colombia as well. Do you have any recommendation? I'm looking to do regular cleaning, root canal (crown). Thanks.

However for sophisticated and high tech procedures / surgeries (such as cataracts) I would immediately come back to the USA.

That is a prime example of why I prefer downtown casas. Everyone seems to know what they are there for and you don't get the bullshit. I will put my $12 at risk in centro casas all day long. I am not rich enough to take chances with a $123 (plus the shit they may steal along the way) freelancer like that.

You have the SW scene, the Casa's, the Strip Clubs / Bars, the discos, and such a wide range of pricing.
