But we have people who only care about making money for themselves. They don't care about preserving our good thing. But the guys who seen the writing on the wall will still have a blast in the sue. There's lots of ways folks find to party here, and as long as they're happy, it's all good!
These bro's from NY, Atl. NJ, even Bermuda, took over my local bar last week, partied and spread the wealth with the staff, left everybody happy, staff and customers, especially the bartenders.
The only miserable folks I see in Sosua these days, and avoid like the plague, are over the hill, veteran jaded mongers, who's changes in Sosua have long since passed them by!
An example from the same bar a couple of weeks before the new crowd arrived:
I'm having a trankilo Domingo beer in one of my fave bars off the strip, with the two beautiful server semi pro friends, good vibe, good music. This old pro monger comes in and sits down, orders a Cuba libra, or something with coke.
He asks for the bill, and chica wants 150. He goes off on a loud rant, disturbing the peace, shouting to anybody who will listen and arguing the price. Keeps shouting how it's a rip off, cheaper down the street, and how he will never come back here again. We all roll our eyes.
He hollers at me from across the bar, hey, how much you paying for your beer? Don't know, I laugh, haven't seen la quenta yet, LOL.
He carries on with his rant, until he finishes his drink, now everybody has their back turned to him, and he finally leaves, still complaining loudly.
I got many more first hand stories like this, some posted here. It may help explain why I am not impressed by "veteran mongers".
Now, I don't recommend paying an alleged $300 to fuck a stripper I can get get back home for $200, although, if the pictures are true, I wouldn't even pay $25 for 'em, LOL.

The Tall Man.[/QUOTE]I think the big difference is there were a lot of spots where you could chill that brought chicas to Sosua that didn't want to be out on the street or in the hot ass sun or didn't make it to Clasicos. There were several nice strip clubs in Sosua where you could smash on site or just chill and have some drinks, get your grope on, or just kick it and set something up for after hours. This was in addition to Rumbas and later on DLatin. In addition to the beach and Clasicos / Merengue, it was always good to have many more options. Many of those restaurants like Bourbon Street were also formerly bars with chicas available.

Top beauties have more options to earn for eg intop clubs, brothels and other countries. These options were not available few years ago. So everybody came to Sosua. Now in the age of internet and information on your fingertips they look for the best option. Long time ago I have seen many very pretty girls in Sosua. High Carrebean was the go to place. If you pick a girl for the going rate of 1500 pesos she will stay with you all night and fuck your brains out. If you take her to dinner or breakfast she will worship you. There was a bar which had lots of young girls some very pretty where you had a sort of barfine of 300 pesos. Then you pay the girl 1000 pesos for all night. Room at Europa hotel was $25 per night. Drinks and food were very cheap. Those are old stories.
Accordingly price and service have changed all over the world. I still like to go to Sosua for tropical atmosphere, cheap lobsters and sea food, party and ofcourse girls.

I had a permanent heart, and groin, ache for those Venezuela, Panama, Columbia, young beauties I saw on TV, likewise the girl groups, from Ronnie Spector through Destiny's Child, knowing I could never be in their world, at least unless I got very rich, and would die without fucking my dream girl! Local Strip club, never did it for me (until much later, after Sosua).
Fast forward, enter Sosua. Now after two passibly attractive, but dedicated and domesticated long term GFs, I am now hanging with some as good or better than anything I saw on TV. I look around me, and with a nod, I can fuck them. THERE IS A GOD! They are not as dependable, or as domesticated as my current chica, and would be high maintenance as a regular GF, (guys ogling, coming over for introductions, not showing up on time, etc) but we all get along and have a little bonding shared through a couple of years of family experiences and partying together.

Back then the exchange rate was 32-1 now it's 50.3 - 1 do the math. In many cases you are paying LESS now than you were back in the day.
