The overall advantage I think is 1.) living and / or spending the majority of your time in the place where you monger and 2.) being able to afford it in that place.

So having all that time you weed out the bad ones are are left with the best deals, cream of the crop women in your rotation (the ex / current girlfriend who you travel and go on vaca with, Christmas eve, your maid who you pulled out of new life 8 years ago who cleans your pipes every morning, a few pot smoking party skanks, a few other respectables, whatever your mood you've got a solid 6-10 rotation, a wide variety for every occasion). Just ask anyone living here full time for over 5-10 years how often they go out on the hunt to a strip club, internet, street walkers or casas (when they are not a wingman to a buddy). The thought of having to go out, wear a rubber, prospect, put up with some smelly pussy or games or drama often trumps the thrill of prospecting hamburgers when you got a rolodex of champagne, steak and lobster who will do exactly what you're in the mood for, show up on time etc. Just a message away.

My point is the retired, single, non famous rich guy I mentioned who loves to monger in the USA lives there (although he has the means to live anywhere) and has a stable of babes he has cultivated over the years, many of which are not in the biz anymore but still see him. They are all cream of the crop girls, all colors shapes and sizes. He gets referrals for new babes. I am in the same boat as that guy but here in Colombia because I don't have the means to pull it off like he does in the USA.

Point is just about any country or large city with a good variety of babes will work if you have the financial means and live there.

[/QUOTE]I can only speak for Medellin since I haven't lived in other parts of Colombia. There are a lot of beautiful women here no doubt, but also many that aren't so attractive. Per capita, I think Meddy is very good in terms of beauty. I've only visited some of the other cities here in Colombia and I think it varies depending on the city.

As far as the USA, there are definitely many attractive women, especially in places like NYC, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, California, South Florida and so on. Like Colombia, I think it varies by city and depending on one's taste.

I don't monger in the USA so I can't speak to that, but growing up as a kid when Times Square was rockin I definitely saw many beautiful woman that could keep me in the states.

All you get in Medellin is crappy weed and whatever the hell tusi is. Obviously their main import is still of good quality but trust me, the range and frequency of consumption among the locals is nowhere near other European or American levels (in the cities at least).

I'm just saying let's be wary of assuming that some two bit dealer offering drugs in Parque Lleras to some tourists is indicative of a massive drug culture locally. I'm also not sure Parque Lleras is still the very nice part of Medellin anymore.

To be fair this reminds me of when I went to NY and stayed right by Times Square. I was honestly shocked at how rough and unsavoury the place was. I remember having to walk over a passed out junkie with a needle still in his arms. IN TIMES SQUARE.

Nice place. I stayed there last summer and I had the same experience with the crazy drug pushers. There was a constant stream of college aged backpackers in and out of the Kiwi Hostel. I would sit on the steps in the evenings and chat with the girls who were backpacking, some were some real hotties but I never hooked up with one, probably could have, but I didn't really go for it, just enjoyed meeting the young girls from all over the world.

I really liked the area, except when the sun went down the drug slingers would come out of the wood work, they were a real pain in the ass.

A friend of mine here in California- yes a real friend and only a friend- is on SA and gets hundreds of dollars a session, sometimes offered more. There are so many fat, ugly, and disgusting Venezuelan Chicas in El Centro now who have invaded and taken over the park in front of the Museum and the walking area to the Veracruz Church. I wish things were better in their Country and they would go back home. I liked the area much more before they invaded this area. I also say it depends on who is asking. If you grew up in a rough neighborhood in Chicago or Detroit, you probably won't bat an eyelash. But a guy who's lived in a lily-white suburb his whole life will likely be pretty uncomfortable.

There are so many qualifications to the issue of safe vs dangerous, that that questions can't simply be answered yes or no.

Paris is a no go zone for many. It's pretty much a poster child for dodgy barrios. The "bus invasion" robbery is not so unusual and yes Colombians are by far the most frequent victims. Videos are not hard to find online because more and more buses have security cameras. My advice is stick to primary routes (e. G. Sabaneta via Avenida Poblado, Centro / Laureles via la 33 etc.) during daytime hours if you ride buses. Uber and taxis are less risky. There is always some risk, it's all about taking reasonable precautions.

Howdy folks,

I left Colombia after living in medellin centro for 2 yrs! I saw just about everything there, ventured just about everywhere for the hobby (except casas and pros!) Previous to those 2 yrs in el centro, I lived in Envigado 2 months and previously in el Poblado 4 months.

You can see my contributions starting 2010 and also in the photo thread.

The great thing about mongoring in medellin is that you're in a modern city with so much things to do with high quality of standards of living at a lower price, and best of all for me the amazing climate and scenery (minus the pollution unfortunately).

And IMHO the least thing the women (compared to other places I've been to)! Cuban and Malagashy girls are way better and IMHO nobody comes close to cubanas! A Cuban landlord told me once about the Cubans: there is not a problem that can't be solved with sex as in no taboos!

So here are my simple tips (in no particular order of importance) that I went by during my stay specially in El Centro;.

1) I leave my passport secured in my room and I take a small photocopy of the front page and laminate it like an ID plus max 50 k cop.

2) I don't dress like a gringo I. E. No flip-flops or shorts.

3) I maintained a good relationships (insurance) with my building security, local vendors and businesses.

4) Rum not guaro for my girls. Highly recommend and most girls will resist. LOL because they know!

5) I came back home from el centro by 9 pm the time when ÉXITO super market closes! NEVER EVER BROOK THIS RULE.

6) I had the number of the US consulate in my phone contacts.

P. s: I'm not a typical monger and banging chics everyday wasn't my goal. Enjoying medellin was!

Soon they will have to bare their children, build schools or just neglect their own because of the burden Venez will put on them. The longer it goes on the worse for Colombia (obviously) because once they become acclimated and entrenched they will not leave.
