Xanadont, thank you for the information on 'alternative places' on the island. I was under the impression that Campo was the only spot. I have visited the island and I was impressed by Campo's setup. The casino there is very nice and they actually have three card poker, which for myself and my friends is a must. Holiday Beach hotel which I have seen listed here as the best casino, in my IMHO is not as big as the one in the Renaissance. Hopefully I won't get too plastered to remember my adventures from here on out. We will see.

I mentioned this in an early post but, just for the record, I was there for 6 days and only one lady asked me for more than 50 guilders. I've heard that some ladies will ask for more if you wear expensive clothing, watches, jewelry, or flash your cash; so those are things you'd want to avoid.

My advice would be to stay firm on your 50 guilder offering price. Also, don't let them talk you down to less than 30 minutes. (I was always able to get an hour simply by asking for it once. Negotiating was not difficult at all).

If the ladies still don't take your offer after the first few hours, you can always increase your offer to 100 g. (100 g=$56 USD) so it's still not too expensive.

Yeah, the Renaissance looked nice; I didn't go in the casino when I was there, but their parking garage is free which is super-convenient. If you're interested, there's a few good restaurants in the Riffort shopping plaza next door. The prices are a little higher there ($25-$40 entrees), but the food is excellent.

Anyway thanks for the response. We have been looking for other places to eat besides the hotel and spent the day at Pirate Bay Beach. Nice little spot, then had dinner at their restaurant, food wasn't bad. By the way for those interested, I don't know if anyone already spoke about it, but Club Havana is no longer open. It is now called the Daquiri Piano Club and I doubt there is any stripping going on in there. Also went down by the Kura Hulanda didn't see any street action at all. So the adventure continues.
