If you really feel like you need a shower before you start, tell the girl to come in the shower with you. I've done that plenty of times and soaping each other up in the shower is a great way to get things started. The chicas job is to get as much out of you as they possibly can. Only been ripped off once, that that is when I was coming back from getting cash in Santo Domingo. She sat on my lap at the hotel patio and became annoying, so I sent her have. After I finished my drink, my wallet was on the group with most of the cash missing. About a $120 lesson, but better than having a wallet full. I now only take out what is needed and keep the rest in a sage. I had another problem chica one time that went through my stuff while I was in the bathroom. I had all the important stuff locked up, so no harm. I usually take a padlock in chain to lock up the closets, or my suitcase in no closet available. The bottom line, is: lock it up, don't carry too much cash!

Its the best advice I can give to help people have a good experience. Nothing is ever 100 percent in this game but there are things we can do on our end to make sure things go as smooth as possible. You let your guard down, and because of that things went bad. I left my wallet on the table, and somehow a chica managed to clean out the 500 pesos I had in there. She was already gone when I discovered it. I wasn't mad at her. It was my fault because I gave her the opportunity. Lesson learned. If you want a girl you can trust, go on the dating scene and find a girlfriend. If you want a hot young chica who will do all those things a girlfriend won't, go to Sosua. There's risks and prices to be paid with either choice. Happy hunting guys!

When girls have been on the stroll long enough they lose their inhibition for sex and values like honesty. They view us as oppurtunities to get the things they need. Often we are chance encounters that they do not intend to see again. A quick snatch and go is justified to them. We need to be on guard or your things will disappear. I have had my loses like most guys who enjoy our hobby.

Which is a surprise given the level of experience some claim to have on the island. I've had a large quantity of girls pass through my apartment over many years of living here (Santo Domingo este). I've never had anything come up missing. It's not about figuring out where to go. It is the company you keep. Don't lie down with thieves and they won't steal from you.

The forum is full advice, but a lot of newbies insist (egos?) on learning he hard way!
I have a second time visitor newbie down here with me, who I'm still trying to train. LOL.
He still makes eye contact with local touts and putas, and answers their questions out of home grown politeness. He handles those shiny watches the touts bring to he bar, asks how much, and even compliments the "art work" they flog! He is still learning that if you handle the merchandise, including the chicas, they believe they have a sale!
He's just a nice guy! But he's still learning how to deal with this new aggressive environment, but he is gradually getting streetproofed!
The biggest, and most widespread problem I see here right now, is the theft of phones from bars. You can walk along the street and see mongers posted up at Bourbon Street, and Central with their phones laid out in front of them on the sidewalk bar open to the passing crowd. One minor distraction, and it's gone. Even bartenders are losing their phones. I know of 2 this week!
So don't worry about a few pesos on the dresser, or some after shave, look after that damn phone!
Losing that can be a major pain in the ass!

I don't blame myself for not putting my money in the safe or hiding it more securely; I blame the puta for taking the money after reaching an agreement in price.
