I tried to find the bus schedule and it looks to be every 30 minutes and weekdays. So one might get lucky both ways, but maybe not. Still may have to wait at Mitte. I never liked the walk from the. HBF and always hoped for not a long wait when returned to Dietz. HBF. Did you get lucky with bus?

The S2 was always on schedule (unlike the consistently late trains to Darmstadt) and the bus kept schedule to the exact minute. It was only a 5-15 minute gap between the bus and train rides each way. The bus ride is about 7 minutes, and you save 3 minutes of the train ride by getting off at Mitte instead of the Bahnhof. So, it is still faster than doing the walk.
There are 2 bus services that ply the same route, 99 and 95, at almost the same timings. One of them runs during the weekend, including Sunday. You probably checked the schedule of the one that does not run in the weekends.
I time my exit from the club to be just on time for the bus.
Anyway, my backup plan (that was not needed as it turned out) was that if the S2 was late on the way there, I would just go all the way to Diet Bahnhof, and do the long walk. On the way back, if the S2 was late, I would just have to wait longer; but in this case I would have to wait longer anyway even if I started from the Bahnhof.

Same for Inka on entry side, I don t know for rate. For sure, AO RTC and Bernds are where to find real models for cheap rate.
