There is no way these bars will survive much longer.
We have to define here " these bars ", because the City of Pattaya itself is deeply suffering, being a tourists destination.
This is indeed an human and business tragedy in the making.
However, being on the ground, I frequent several quality restaurants, nightclubs, girls bars and sport bars. With a clear expats following, and posting aggressive and smart marketing strategies on a daily basis. That are full packed, several days of the week, and are more than breaking even.
I don't know about G-Clubs and Soapy massages.
I guess Oct 1. 14 day Quarantine. 90 day visa. Ain't happening.
The 14 day Quarantine will continue until Thailand comes to a concensus that their economy is more important than Covid restrictions on entry. And while the visa amnesty is coming to an end, mmigration might turn out to be very flexible on granting visa extensions.
I guess Oct 1. 14 day Quarantine. 90 day visa. Ain't happening.
This is another day and another hair brain idea that goes nowhere. I read so many reports daily and can't remember the article but it had to do their economy dying, businesses can't survive for long when they close it will be forever! This time the 90 days once in allows you two more extension at 2000 baht a pop that gives you something like 270 days in total the problem it was just an idea with just noting 14 quarantine there was no mention if they were going to remove all the other conditions to get to the quarantine phrase since the idea there hasn't been any word although there was mentioned a BIG meeting to happen this coming week?
I was just talking to another ex-pat this morning over coffee as they are hurting for tourist they are ending the amnesty 26 Sept when they haven't opened up Thailand so now they are forcing how many out that have been here for months spending money isn't something better than nothing guys like Mr. E, Monkey Paw are here contributing to the economy along with hundred or Thousands and now they want them out. The logic would be as long as no one is coming in just drag it until the end of the year no question ask.
Another topic if true, I heard the Thais that are being repatriated back to Thai do not need to go through the same hoops as other foreigners? For example, Thais are given VIP rights to obtaining a seat on flights they do not require insurance and maybe even no testing within 72 hours but like everyone must be quarantined. Each of these flights you always find people that test positive after which even if you go through all the hoops you might be sitting next to someone who hasn't how do Thailand leaders think just because you are Thai and you are abroad in countries that have outbreaks being given a different standard than they have zero or fewer chances of getting it? Then you got the majority of the positive test from passengers from the MiddleEast, if Thailand is rank something like 95 for corruption can you imagine how easy it would be for countries with worse records to obtain a COE.
It would be a shock if it opens deep down the surface it is a mess no light at the end of the tunnel? I would love to see Land of Smile but each night and each moring I wake up I say different day same shit!

Golden Times
Last Thursday even prior to getting into the dog house I had to make a visit to Golden Times to do a favor for my cousin.
I've been to G. T. Prior to the Virus closing things down. G. T. Is located near Soi 15, the Soi lead to the back of the Avenue, this location is also known just off Soi Baukhao locates a number of Gentlemen Clubs, 555, Naughty, Buka Lounge, so when it opened people thought it to be in line with one but it turns out to be more of a GoGo, so the majority of the comments were negative since all you got to do is walk out and hit one of the others get yourself satisfied for much less. Pre-COVID the owners would throw a bunch of promotion like bring in models from Bangkok for that one-night promotion the next day they were all gone you can see these ladies on their FB but you won't find them there daily nor are you going to get them cheap even when they are there. Never found the quality to be much after these promotions so when I saw their second grand opening Aug 29th I said why to bother.
So I was wondering why my cousin lady friend was working there when she could easily work at Pin-Up? As I started to walk in the first person I met was the former male manager for Bacarra he greets and walks me into and gets me a prime viewing location. There were maybe 5 customers inside while waiting for my drinks I noticed on stage the quality was much better I also felt some staring which meant Asian soon some unwanted introduction. I refused a few offers because I wanted to check the stage while looking for my cousin lady. After a while, a girl comes rushing up next to the seat next to me I turn and it was another girl who I've known for years from Bacarra, next thing I know more came by to say Sawasdee Ka including the head mamasan from Baccara, my cousin lady happens to not work that night so for old times I brought drinks for old time sake and stuck around to catch up with their lives.
I try hard never to venture to places on the Darkside I'm even careful at the GoGo because you never know who someone working might be my local Thai neighbor, but one of the girls who knew one from Bacarra turn and spoke Thai which I understood a majority while they were talking " does this guy live? " she indicates she has seen me before with makeup it was hard for me to tell if I had seen her in my village or even a customer at my wife store and restaurant? I'm thinking I'm screwed because Thais love to talk so it is nothing but hands-off at this place. I rack my brain for a few days trying to figure out where I seen her the closest I came was April this year she came for a party for my granddaughter's 2nd Birthday that is might be related or friends of my Daughter-Inlaw family which I don't like or trust. Nevertheless, from what I saw many of the girls are from Bacarra maybe 30% rumor Bacarra only might open in a month to test the waters. BUMMER!

BB adventurers
For all you gents who are brave enough to go bb with a working girl, do you use any preventative medicine, I. E. Pre-exposure prophylaxis? I've searched CDC and various medical authorities, and risk of catching HIV to a heterosexual male having vaginal sex is marginal, but the consequence of catching it is severe. PrEP would mitigate that risk a lot, but just curious if people here go that far. Also, besides HIV, the other common STDs are more easily caught, even when the girls don't have symptoms. Do you go to a clinic to take care of it, or just get the usual doxycycline + azithromycin for syphilis, chlamydia, and gonorrhea?
Last Thursday even prior to getting into the dog house I had to make a visit to Golden Times to do a favor for my cousin.
Geezus. My buddy had me tag along with him to Golden Times last week. That place had some nice chicks. Ever since, I pass by there with my tongue hanging out.
Passed by Blue and Orange bars again today and the Blue side is open again.
I met a chick on Tinder back in March. Never met her in person. Laat night I sent her a random message. She just happened to be in Pattaya. She lives in Korat and does some document work at an office there. She drives 5 hours to Pattaya some weekends to make extra cash. She came over this afternoon for 700 baht. This was probably the best GFE that I have had in my life. She was so sweet. She showed up the same time as the Lazada man. When we got to the room I sat down to open my package, at which time she knelt down and took my package out and started sucking on it.
The rest was a textbook fucking like rabbits session. She had to get on the road because she can not see when it gets dark. I have glasses for the same reason, but she said that she can not afford any. I handed her 1000 baht. She looked at it and said it is supposed to be 700. I said okay. The I took out the 700 I had set aside earlier. I asked her if she wanted to change. She said to send her a message and she could come back next weekend if I want. But for now she had to make sure she is on time for work tomorrow. Buddha Blessings.

C29. Has basically become a non issue in USA.
I take it it isn't Polling well for Biden.
Virus still around but so is the FLU.
Las Vegas where I'm sheltering is quite busy on weekends.
Thailand is BATShyte crazy.
Traffic deaths over 20,000 c19! Dead 58.
Fantastic argument. 194 000 dead and still promoting not wearing mask. How stupid can some poeple be?
LOL, yeah it is a non issue in the US. When will it be an issue, when it hits 1 million.
Please share US stats.
200 k for c19 and how many traffic deaths?
But we must wear seatbelts or get fined but nothing for the c19 non issue?
What happened to education in the US in the past decade, same Thai mentality that so many are complaining about here.
Or are we getting trolled, hard to tell.

There are posters who say they do not get STDs from bareback sex with pros in Thailand. Those posts are for the consumption of fools who would go to Thailand and have bareback sex with prostitutes. Of course the posters would be secretly laughing at the prospect.

Ask Us How" or something like that. I have read mixed reports about the benefits vs downsides of PrEP.
You are sent to a private office at that clinic to receive your test document from a medical counselor and chat a bit about whatever. The counselor then asks a series of questions for which I always give 100% truthful answers like when was the last time I had intercourse (usually yesterday or the day before), do I have a regular girlfriend (sort of), do I have sex with many different women (yes), do I use condoms (no), why am I getting tested (Out of courtesy really. Just to have a negative/normal test result document to show someone who wants to see it), etc.
So far, after going there for a test every 2-3 months for more than seven years, not once has a counselor mentioned or recommended my taking PrEP.
For whatever that is worth.

Please RTFF as this topic has been covered 100's of times just like discussing condoms, Viagra, political views, war, etc.
