LA Cafe is open 24 hours a day. I'm not a fan of the place but I do know that it is open 24/7.

Yes you are right. Must be unique in the mongering world. Can't think of anywhere else you can pick up a breakfast play companion at 8 in the morning. But I dread to think of the kind of girls that must be left in the place at that time. Anyone brave enough to admit to scouting for skegs amongst the dregs?

EDSA complex is, I think, is not a place to linger long after you have found your f**kbuddy for the night. Usually not a very good selection as you can imagine but every once in awhile you will hit the jackpot.

I used to basicly live in LA cafe since I would stay at the Boulevard Mansion for 5-6 months at a time on business trips. It was always close and conveient.

Regarding taking someone from Edsa to the Cafe, I have never done it myself, but for the most part the live bands are very good IMO in the evenings and once you bar fine a girl, if you take here there and she bails on you, you discover she isn't realy want you wanted, or some thing better catches your eye then it is the perfect place to be as far as I am concerned.

There are of course honeys who appear to have been there all night (and the reasons why are immediately apparent.)

However, you're forgetting the ones that have just returned from a bad experience in a hotel room, and have returned for a second opportunity. And those who are waiting for a friend who is entertaining in a nearby hotel. During my last visit, a group of honeys walked in at about 7:30am. Very odd I thought, because they looked like the 'upstairs Saturday night' variety. It turns out that they had just been released from jail, where they had stayed the night.

I admit, pickings are slim during early morning hours, but if you are patient (and desperate? ), you will usually find a honey who is worth an invitation to breakfast.

Interesting replies Gumby & Psdai. I've often wondered what the place was like at breakfast time and now I've some insight and its not as bad as I would have thought. I was in LA cafe on a weekend night. The girl I picked to take home was hungry. So since I was not hungry I gave her 100 pesos to go and eat. She left her purse and cell phone with me I guess so as not to loose a customer and went acroos the road to get something to eat.

The law or as it is interpreted by the police is unescorted girls cannot be walking by themselves after 12 midnight. And I understand that these raids take place on most weekends around LA cafe area.
To cut the long story short the girl came back after an hour and half and told
me that she hid inside the restaurent till the police left and she told me atleast 50 were taken away.
After that we were walking to my hotel and to my surprise and her horror a police van came in front of us driving slowly but they did not bother us and we had a good time.
If the girl or girls are escorted the police do not bother as I understand.

Actually the LA Cafe never closes. It's open 24/7 365 days a year. You can go any time with a reasonable probability of success.

Her English wasn't the best, but I thought we'd agreed to an LT. Most of the girls I've known at LA make a point to limit themselves to a single beer or a bottled soda. First, there's the cost, unless they can pry drink purchases from visiting mongers. Interesting story Skip. She was probably pissed but the lack of the normal Filipina modesty and reticence suggest also the possibility of other substance ingestion being involved. There are more than a few shabu/brown sugar abusers in the LA Cafe and you can usually spot them by un-pinay style immodesty and outlandish behaviour.

Funnily enough I had a similar encounter last year (who knows, might be the same girl!!) but it was in Amazonia rather than LA Cafe. I occassionally use the place in the hope that it will become a viable alternative to the grotty LA Cafe. This is unfortunately never the case and that night the place was quiet as usually.
