Havana

Hey guys. Thanks for all the great info in this forum.

Heading down to Cuba next month for my first trip to Havana. Looks like I will stay at Tropicoco since that looks like a suitable place for Mongers and as I am traveling alone with zero Spanish-speaking abilities I assume hotel would be a better option than trying to procure a Casa. 20 CUC to security seems reasonable to get a chica up to your room. Going to check out Guanabo and, of course Havana.

I have a serious question. About 1 in 10 sessions I have problem with a full erection. So as to not waste money I have been taking OTC ED meds when I monger to give me a little lift. Since I want to make sure that on my trip I have a great time with no issues I was wondering what will happen if I get caught in customs at Havana Airport with these. They are not illegal by any means (I tried the Nite Rider brand which works really well for me with little side effects) but I know the laws are different there and if I explain what they are that might raise red flags with customs in itself. If the worst they would do is trash them that is fine with me. Just don't want to get in any trouble.

If the girls are as hot as I think they are I am sure I won't have any issues but better safe than sorry since I am spending a lot to go all the way to Cuba!

One more question, I have read differing things online but can I cash in $USD at the hotel or airport and change them into CUC or do I have to have a different form of currency?

As far as your "special pills" are concerned I highly doubt you will encounter any problems at all. I've taken pain killers, different kinds of vitamins and some other homeopathic pills and the customs really don't care. Their main concerns are Cocaine, Marijuana and Electronics. LOL.

Tropicoco is the best place to stay for a "first timer", this is my preferred hotel when going to Havana. I've written about it a few times on this forum. The added bonus is that there are always other mongers staying there and it won't take long for you to make some new friends who will be quite happy to show you the "ropes".

DO NOT pay the chicas more than $30 CUC! Don't fall for their tricks. They will start off asking for $50 or $60 at which point you should counter with $20. They will definitely drop their price, actually, some will accept the $20 while others might walk away and the rest will negotiate for $30.

Make sure you let them know EXACTLY what you want and expect BEFORE you leave the club. Otherwise you might only get one pop and she will leave after 30 minutes. Remember Rog, YOU ARE THE BOSS! U are in control because YOU have the money. All they have is the Pussy and there are a lot more of them than there are of you tourists. So don't panic, be cool, take your time and choose from the wide selection in the club. And believe me, there will be a lot to choose from.

I have brought these meds in once before with no issue. I suspect you will have no issue either, especially since it is your first trip, you are not, yet, on the Cuban radar.

As for money, . Its more expensive to change at the hotel and airport. The official office is a better deal but the black market is, more or less. 90 cuc for 100 american. Ask a casa owner to direct you to a friend who is seeking American as I suspect you do not have the confidence or trust to do it alone en la calle.

When will you be in Cuba exactly, I am there avery month. I arrive June 30 Havana.

Thank you very much for the info. One question. I assume I can get Canadian currency here at my bank in the US and then that will afford me to get a better exchange rate in Cuba?

So glad this forum is here. Tropicoco sounds like the perfect place to start my Cuba adventures. At first I thought it was maybe a little too far from Havana but with the tourist bus and free shuttle during the day the 15CUC taxi back at night will not be too bad. I assume if you take a bar girl from Havana you give them 5CUC for a taxi to meet you back at the hotel? How do you know they are not just going to pocket the money and leave you with blue balls waiting at the hotel? (I will not have any cell phone access while in Cuba). I know doctors make like 50CUC a month so even taxi fare for the girls seems like a score if they want to scam you.

Yes, I understand the market now for working girls and I will be very diligent with negotiations. And I know to ask about services up front (not going all the way to Cuba for a CBJ!).

After which you enjoy each other's company. Then after everything is all done you give her what was agreed upon at the bar.

I am from USA also, exchanging at the US Bank may be a wash as that will incur a fee too. I do not even bother. I take the 90 in the calle. Consider xing the hotel and stay in a girl friendly casa for $25-$30 per night. Vedado is a great neighborhood. And as I have said before, for the best experience, stay out of Havana, the girls are generally more jaded and the girls in the east will treat you so much better or less money = less headache.

Not heading to Cuba. For now. It was too hard for me to get a plane ticket. Will be brushing up on my Spanish and hope to go sometime in the future. Anyways thanks to everyone in this forum for all the helpful info!

Technically, you could get an early non-stop to Cancun, then get the Cubana flight to Havana. And do the same thing on the way back. You're talking about $900 to $1000 right there. And you could easily miss your return flight from Cancun because Cubana is frequently late.

Keep in mind that although prostitution is wide-spread in Cuba, it's not a very user-friendly place, especially for the first-time Gringo visitor. Tijuana and C. Rica are much easier to navigate.

Have you considered the DR? IMO Sosua is a great sex destination for a long weekend.

$50 a day + gas and he will take you wherever you want.

Think about it, $50 CUC per day for your own private chauffeur that knows his way around and if you get sick he can take care of you. LOL. Funny, but true.

I use him all the time, he's a fantastic person and extremely honest. Which is a rare trait in Cuba these days.

He's based in Santa Lucia / Camaguey, but he will take you ANYWHERE you want to go. This guy knows EVERYONE in the area.

Clean, comfortable air conditioned car. Cheaper than a rental.

Biggest difference from Tijuana or CR is that most of the chicas are Black or
Mulatta. For me that's a good thing, but everyone's different. The action is pretty in your face, whether you like bars and nightclubs (Classico's, Rumba) or Strip Joint / puta
Houses (Passions, CMP). Also around Sosua and Cabarete, there are some excellent beaches.
