The reason that many mongers who can afford any price level go with the prives and trash casas is that actually paying more does not result in better sex, and indeed results in worse sex. Those termas like Solarium, Monte Carlo are so full of rules and restrictions that it it easy for the providers to gringo the customer by wasting the hour or 40 minutes with 5 minutes for a shower, 10 minutes for some other BS, always covered etc.

Termas are small sauna clubs with basic spa facilities. Don't expect the same facilities as a big Frankfurt FKK, which would have a large pool, outdoor tanning / lounging areas, sleeping / quiet areas, big jacuzzis for you and the girl to play in, big steam rooms and saunas and special sauna / steam programs and dedicated area with private rooms for professional veggie massages.

RJ termas operates a bit like a small FKK. You pay an admission to use its "spa" facilities and usually include a drink or 2. Unlike FKKs, the is no included food or non-alcoholic drinks. Usage of rooms are an extra charge. The plus is that the pricing of the girls ("massage therapists") are set on a menu with transparent pricing. There is no negotiation on price per xx amount of time as is currently the case at most FKKs. There SHOULD be no upcharge either for GFE service.

After paying your admission, you are given a key to a locker to change out of your clothes into a robe and flip flops and store your belongings. Most guys keep their underwear on, unlike at a FKK. In some termas, changing out of your clothes is optional. There are showers and bath amenities to freshen up.

At a FKK, the nudist culture, sauna / spa and sun bathing aspect of the "FKK" are all part of the experience. At a RJ termas, the "sauna / spa" is light on facilities / amenities and more of an excuse / pretense to get out of your normal clothes so you don't go home smelling like you just came from a brothel 😜.

You can easily spend a whole day at a big FKK without being bored. At the RJ termas, I rarely stay more than an hour or two before I am bored if I don't see a girl I am interested in. One night, I went to the 4 termas on my list within 2 hours without finding someone I liked. Before going to the clubs in Copacabana.

Once in your robe and flip flops, you move on to the main area where all the girls hang out. This area has a bar with stools and sitting area with small tables to lounge around. There are also a few poles for strip shows. It's similar to a small to medium size strip club or disco in the USA, but without a big stage or runway for strippers to dance.

The girls are usually in skimpy dresses, lingerie or bikinis and lounging around waiting for clients. In most of the termas, they don't approach you or don't do so aggressively. You can relax, have a drink, eat a meal in this area.

Most guys will chill for a bit before they pick a girl to keep them company. When you chat them up, you can check her chemistry, get a better look, see if you guys vibe, talk about service or fetishes, etc. Many guys also like to feel up the goods and also make out with the girl to get a preview of how they perform in the room.

One great thing about termas vs. FKK is that service should be all inclusive. There SHOULD be no upcharge for DFK, BBBJ, DATY, GFE, etc. Just ask if they do it and they will either say they do or don't. This usually also applies to anal sex. Service is top notch and appeals to locals. Also can find more darker skinned girls work here. Usually 30-50 girls work here at night. Everything is good. Locations all over Rio, including Botafogo, Copa, Recreio. Botafogo is the original, and it is located at the top of the social economic food chain (Exec Talent will hate me for saying that). Again, that's $50 US Dollars, which is not all that much in the rich world, $250 reais is a few fucks in Rio, so it is valuable consideration.

OK, all that said, what it is harder to get in those rich world venues you mention like LA or NYC is cheap, good, super hot Carioca pussy. That's the point. The top tier food and top tier hoar combination goes a long, long way towards being about all that a man wants in life -- the 6 s's -- shit, shower, shave, supper, sex, sleep.

My hesitation with Barra is how spread out and isolated everything seems. The trek to the beach is a little longer and the beach seems more desolate mid week. Perola Negra could be a saving grace. There's not much talk here about it though.

With Copa / Ipanema, I enjoy the how quickly I can get to / from the beach. The number of Zona Sul locations and the beach kiosks. In between whoring I always seem to run into other tourists and have a few drinks or dinner.
