So I decided to go to centro to check out Bel Prazer because it was getting a lot of buzz here. The taxi had a hard time getting there with all the oneway streets. Ended up walking a few blocks. Saturday, spent the afternoon in Impanema, then Ubered to Solarium at about 18:00. They gave a free drink ticket if you pay the 150 reais entrance fee up-front, then deduct from the total when you leave. Around year 2000 it cost 25 reais and the price stayed like that for many years. That was about half the price at centro privées. Back then there were (according to the newspapers) 1500 girls working at VM. All the 72 casas had a bunch of girls. It wasn't hard to find gems.
