I see my colleagues whining about their married life everyday, I see below average girls treating their boyfriends like trash, I see terrible oppression of male species everyday and my Thailand hangover never goes away.

US citizens are the only ones that can own a company 100% without a Thai partner under the treaty of amity. The only obligation is to employ 4 local Thais for every Farang employee. And you have to put in a minimum investment of THB 3,000,000 which however can be used as working capital later.

You said Thailand DJ but the same thing happens for newbies in Philippines too (and probably other places like Vietnam).

I did lots of short-term work in Thailand and Philippines in a previous life in Australia and when the opportunity to work in Philippines (but on a foreigner salary) was offered to me I took it very eagerly (for the same reasons as no doubt you want a job here too).

That was 18 years ago. I am still here, but ONLY because of the work. My area of work is stimulating and challenging and I am helping the locals develop in many ways; none of my pleasure in staying here has anything to do with mongering.

If I didn't have my daily work, I would go crazy.

You eventually realize you are living in a country with a different culture completely. Everything is different, and the novelty soon wears off.

Going back home for a holiday becomes one of life's greatest events to look forward to.

There has to be a better reason for displacing yourself from a good well-paid job than the availability of beautiful women. You honestly need to consider a whole host of other factors, none of which seem very important at first but gradually become more and more important the longer you stay here.

I have read back about 11 pages of posts, and I hope I don't get flamed for posting this, but I need some advice as of Jan 2015. I am finally planning my trip to Thai in March to April this year. I plan to work during the day and stay about 30 days.

Ideally, I would like to go out regularly to clubs, drink some, party some, P4P some, etc. And also explore the city like a normal tourist. I've lived outside the US for about 10 years throughout Latin America, so I am comfortable outside of the US. But, I've never been further east than Germany.

Anyway I was thinking to get an apartment in the area called "Sukhumvit Road" which from my understanding is one of the nicer parts of the city. The apartment I found runs $700 USD for about 30 days and includes internet, gym, etc. Can someone tell me, if they were to say in BK, is this a good spot? And the price?

Also, I am younger and prefer some nightlife and also maybe want to hit the soapy things, MP's and I would love to find a place that is a large brothel / bar 24 x7 that has other English-speaking guys I could fall back on. I have no issue of finding a "GF" or two, but if I don't find what I'm looking for P4P p is an option.

I'm not wanting to travel all over the country mainly just because I want to chill for a month without traveling but also have fun 24 x7 (days or nights) depending on work. Maybe 2-3 chill drinking nights a week, 2 party nights, and then some touristy stuff.

So. My questions are: 1) area of town, 2) USD costs of MP's, bars, etc (no street walker types. I'm into the model types), 3) subway vs. Taxi, etc.

With the girls where there was interest, I asked for their Line ids and it was much easier to chat there. The one downside of the dating websites is that one does not know how many dates it will take before the girl sleeps with you, or if she will even sleep with you! That's been one the most frequently stated reasons for why the sites don't probably work for short time visitors. I just made sure that I pushed it just enough with the girls I was chatting to and it was amazing how quickly it becomes clear which way it will go. I think I lost a few good ones as a result of this approach but by the time I landed in BKK, I had 8 girls that I was sure would sleep on the first date and few more maybes. Interestingly, I never met 2 of the 8 girls and the girl that I ended up spending most time with was on my 'not sure' list.

In terms of how these girls looked, I would say the looks varied from 6-9. The sex varied from awesome to mind blowing with each one of them. They felt genuinely into it. With the girls I spent longer time with, I did not have to initiate it each time. Even when we were outside doing other things, some of the girls were very naughty but very discreet. In fact that made it all the more fun. They would talk dirty, or just brush their hands discreetly. One of the girls had me finger her when we were watching a movie, and at the same time they would all act very 'proper' in public. It really created some great sexual tension which would then end up in passionate love making. It really felt like being with a real girlfriend in the early stages of a relationship.

I was amazed how little it took to sleep with these girls. A dinner and some drinks in a decent place was good enough! I still cannot for the life of me figure out why she would want to spend all that time with me. It was clear to her that I was not going to get into a relationship, she could easily get guys to sleep with her. But who am I to complain!

It was a little bit of a challenge juggling all these girls but because I had not made rigid plans it all worked out pretty well in the end! Of the 19 days in Thailand I ended up spending all the time in Bangkok because there were all these girls to play with. Went on some amazing 'dates', had great conversations, watched movies, went to restaurants that I would not venture to on my own, places where I was the only non-Thai, and did many naughty things as well! The girls being at work during the day gave me time to sleep in and do some of my own work as well!

I did make a couple of trips to Nana and Cowboy, but did not bar fine anyone. I found Spankys to be most fun. Just did not feel like visiting any of the massage parlours. I took 2 girls from Climax and sampled twice from The Den. I really liked the Den, very well done and the quality of girls definitely better than the beer garden. All the girls gave great service but must say that compared to the TF girls, these girls felt too professional. Maybe I have been spoilt!

So in a nutshell, I would agree that TF would work much better if one was living in Thailand but with a little bit of prep and work it can work for the 2 week millionaires as well! I am a semi-regular visitor to BKK, heading to town next weekend (about a year since my last trip) and having read most of the recent reports, I am concerned that quality in the gogos seems to be going way down. I have basically concluded that I should be hitting Baccara, Sharks and particularly Crazy House. I am sorry to hear Rainbow 4 has gone downhill, and that Nana Plaza seems a shadow of its former glory. Given the poor reports on Soi Cowboy and Nana, I am even considering going to Pat Pong to check out Bada Bing and Pagoda. I used to really like Safari. About 15 years ago. Scan their photos to know more about them and look for English speakers compared to Thai speakers. I have had the most luck with the profiles in Thai language.

And the price?[/QUOTE]Sukhumvit Road runs from the centre of Bangkok to the border of Cambodia and is one of the longest roads in Thailand. So your appartment "on Sukhumvit Road" could almost be anywhere in Bangkok, all the way up to the outskirts and far beyond.

Maybe you didn't mean to come off sounding like that, but it did give me a chuckle.

First, as Wolfie said, Suk is a very, very, long street. Sort of like saying you have an apartment somewhere on Wilshire Blvd. You'll need the cross-street or at least the name of the neighborhood for us to make any intelligent recommendation as far as your apartment goes.

It sounds like you're asking for something like the Sportsman's Lodge in San Jose, or the equivalent in the DR. There are no 24 x7 bar / brothels with resident English speakers in BKK. Although you wouldn't know it by Pattaya Soi 6, brothels are illegal in Thailand. About your best bet would be to become a regular at one of the various "English" or "Irish" pubs. The wisdom of that could be debated, but at least you'll be able to mingle with English speakers.

Meeting and bedding Thai models may be a bit more of a challenge. You'll not find any in the Farang bars. You may have some luck with the various on-line sites and apps. The Thai venues will have the best lookers, overall, but you'll probably need to have some proficiency in the language. The genuine Hi-so model types probably won't give a Farang the time of day, unless you're driving a high-end BMW.

I'm not sure how you're going to do a lot of "touristy" stuff without traveling around. None of it's going to come to you. There's stuff to see in BKK, but, frankly, if you've seen one wat, you've seen them all. If you limit your sightseeing to weekends, you'll have enough in BKK to keep you occupied for, maybe, a month. Any more often and you'll need to travel outside of the city.

So, to answer you questions:

1. Need more specifics.

2. The MP threads are full of pricing.

3. If your destination is anywhere near a BTS or MRT station, use them. Otherwise you'll have to use a taxi. Unless you do have the high-end BMW.
