They're going after unlicensed businesses set up on the beaches -- chair rentals, restaurants, etc. , even demolishing some illegal structures. Also supposedly going after the taxi mafia. phuket appears to be perfect blend of relaxation and mongering after reading many reports on forum.

Spent a very enjoyable week in Patong, Phuket. The information in the forum and from a few Senior members via PM was quite helpful.

I chose to rent a car from Hertz at the airport to keep from paying two big taxi bills but more importantly to see the island. During the day, I traveled the entire island looking at views and potential retirement spots. The only other time I drove was to the mall because of the monsoon rains. The car was very affordable and fully ensured, so it brought great transportation and peace of mind. However, for simple mongering it isn't needed.

I stayed at Salathai Resort booked from Travelocity and I have no complaints except that it is very difficult to separate the key from the magnet device that keeps the AC on during your absence. So, I followed the advice, went to Big "C" and bought magnets to keep power on when out of the room.

All information in this forum is still applicable for instance: Kristin's massage is a great place for a soapy. I was charged 3 k ($100) for 75 minutes of pure pleasure.

Bangla road has it all for sure; hottest, sexiest women available but later at night than earlier in the evening. I am older and prefer to be getting busy by 9 pm.

I preferred the other side-streets and the small quiet bars on streets parallel to Bangla. I had no problem bringing home girls in their 30's for 1000 bht and getting the whole GFE the next day.

Cowboy is directly across from Salathai and has girls as early as 5 pm. My personal favorite is Mach. I met her on Saturday, but didn't take her home until Tuesday. I kept her until Saturday morning when I left. Her car-side hug and kiss still haunt me. There is no GFE like a Thai GFE my friend.

Lobos Bar is on the same side of the road as Salathai Resort, about 50 M toward the beach road. Their girls might come out a bit later maybe 7-9 pm, but they are worth the wait.

My two favorite massage places were Be Well Spa and another one directly next to Rosco's Bar.

Be Well Spa is right next to a Family Mart on Sawatdirak on the opposite side of the street nearly across the street from Lobos Bar. You can find it easily. I highly recommend little (or Lily). She will take care of you there or at your hotel. She was a bit pricey for the hotel visit but negotiable and worth it.

If you walk East up Sawatdirak (against traffic, away from the beach) and turn left, look for Rosco's Bar. Directly next to it is another massage place (forgot the name) that I didn't want to leave. They had a great variety of gals, very breasty and even a pair of 19-year old twin sisters. Now, keep in mind the twins only gave happy-ending HJs but several of the others were FS. Definitely worth visiting. They are unspoilt and off the tourist trail. They are patronized by the local mafia and wealthy Thais.

There are several classes of brothels. The cheap ones start at 300 B-600 B and are shit. Some of the girls are nice looking, but the rooms are dingy and dirty. Not recommended.

In the nice places they start at 1500 (90 minutes).

Amazing quality and performance. Very good looking girls that fuck like professionals, MUCH better than the bar girls.

I'm visiting Phuket in a few weeks. Did quite a bit of RTFF but still need some info if you can help out.
