Not far from the Pertamina hospital at jalan Kyai Maja is a market/shopping center(?) called Majestic/Mayestik. If my memory serves me right, there are 4 or 5 massage joints within the compound. Central/Sentral is the only one I know of, that is more or less a bordello. At the other places, extra's have to be negociated.

Try Fortune Spa, across the street (on the south side) from the Le Meridien Hotel, 280,000 rupiah for a decent legit massage, plus a tip for a happy ending.

You could also try Jaspa Spa, located in Mal Ambassador in Kuningan; I've written a few posts on this place but have not visited it in over 6 months. Used to be a massage+HJ place but a couple of recent posts seem to indicate that they are no longer giving HJs, just a legit massage for 135,000 rupiah. Ask for Poppy, best masseuse in the place, or for Tuty

Technically, these places are in South Jakarta!

Sudiman/Kuningan (a.k.a Central Business District), Senayan, Kebaroyan (Block M), Kemang, Cilandak, Pondok Indah, ect, are officially all part of South Jakarta.

I was always amazed at how large the area of "Jakarta Selatan" is.

just curious: what is the tip that you give? as i understand it, a tip is given by the client based on his satisfaction with the service based on his inclination and the amount is decided on the level of satisfaction or by convention when the service is extra i.e. beyond the service paid for by the fee. i ask this because in my experience this has always been something that one has had to negotiate after the masseuse/ therapist has indicated her 'willingness' for the special service and i have always had figures starting from 400k quoted to me and have managed, at best, to bring it down to 150k.

of course, this service is included in the delta fortuna massage and one doesn't have to pay extra. i recall paying around 450k for what might have been 2 sessions and getting jerked off at the end. but while the room had a bathtub inside, it wasn't fully enclosed but partitioned and had a curtain instead of a door with the usual 'dilarang membuat asusila' admonition. i certainly didn't pay 640k that john aldrych reports.

on a related note, i wonder why one should pay 640k for a happy ending even when the massage is for 2 hours when one can get a one-hour long happier ending for 400k at most places including the maribaya. as a result i have rarely ever gone back to these massage parlours as i don't think this service connotes value for money. but i guess, each to his own.

Guys, thanks for all the wonderful tips on massage. I was optimistic that I'd have time for one but work, drinking and non-legit massage consumed my time. I did squeeze in a massage from the Hotel Ambhara in-house. 155K Rp one hour body/oil. Was a decent but expensive. The masseuse was eager to provide happy ending but she was 40+ and didn't warrant. I hope to try all these wonderful tips on the next go around.

A wonderful report and guide to CJs. Although I've mongered JKT about 20 times this reported prompted me to give CJs a shot.

I arrived at CJs about 11PM on a Monday night. Not staying at the Mulia, I figured I'd have to pay a cover charge but instead I had to prepay for a drink before entering. Unfortunately the prepay for a gin & tonic was 165K Rp! That's a night of drinking at Blok M for me.

Following SK's guide, I went to the divider wall between where hotel guests and visitors can go. The SOP attack began with the older pros taking their turns first. I guessed there was maybe 40 gals in the place, a few were stunners but the overall quality was just a tad better then my usual Blok M haunt. They were of course far better dressed and the English speaking ability was good. Regardless, like Blok M, the majority of the gals were child bearers and my favorite, petites, were not common. I did approach a few of the sharper looking gals and the starting quote was a 1,000K Rp. I countered with a request for ST quote and they of course said they were talking about ST. For that price I'd expect them to wash my car and paint my house. I'm sure these gals would go with me for half or less but it just wasn't worth the effort.

That being said the hotel and bar is spectacular. It was the best JKT bar I've experienced for breathing oxygen vs nicotine. The lighting was good, I could see the gals clearly. The band was outstanding. The gals were fun to chat with. Overall a fun and entertaining experience but this Cheap Charlie prefers the haunts of the Blok and Lokasari.

Sometime I hope to be of the means to frequent the Mulia and CJs but for now I'm sticking with my less expensive haunts. I left CJs about 12:30 and headed over to Blok M. It was my lucky night as I found a stunning fresh gal who provided outstanding service for 300K. Not the norm for Blok M but there's always a few drift bys.

i've usually paid a 100,000 rupiah tip at the fortune spa, on top of the house fee of 280,000 rupiah for a 90 minute session. yes that may sound a bit high but part of it is a tip for the good massage and part for the hj and other fun (the girls usually strip down and let me play with their tits, sometimes a quick bbbj not to completion, twice some daty).

re: your comment about the difference between 640k for two hours and 400k at most places, the answer is simple: the time involved, regardless of what was or was not done during the time! if there's an hourly rate, then having a girl stay with you an extra hour means that she is not available to massage a different customer during that second hour, so a larger house fee is charged and a bigger tip is expected.

also, one probably cannot compare maribaya with a spa that provides a legitimate massage as well as extras, such as delta/fortune etc. i love maribaya but let's be honest, it's a bar/brothel, not a true massage spa :d

Sorry to be so persistent. Do they do this as a matter of course because they know you or is this SOP for all customers? Or do you specifically ask for or indicate your desire for special treatment? And if you have to specify this each time, do they quote a price making you negotiate? Because a tip of 100k is very reasonable. Most places they start to ask a price (note not tip) of 400k for performing such services and usually have a floor rate of 150K.

Of course, all a matter of personal opinion, but I consider Thailand as one of the worst places in SEA for girls.
Since travelling to Jakarta, Manila etc, I have never been back to Thailand.

I guess it's definitely a matter of taste. I've lived in Jakarta almost 10 years now, but I still consider Thailand to be the top spot in SE asia for girls. I think the Thai girls are just a bit hotter. It used to be the indo girls were sweeter, but that's not really the case anymore. I travel to thailand about once a month to get my Thai fix. The infrastructure in Thailand makes it a very comfortable stay as well. I don't like the PI because I like nicer infrastructure than they have in that country, but Angeles City is the best place in the entire world for a cheap sex vacation if you are looking for value for money.

I'm someone who has been to all 3 countries mentioned by Smoothy and the 2 countries mentioned by Ekspet. I also speak some Thai and some Tagalog and also quite a fair bit of the Jakarta lingo. Although each & every person would have thier own preferance it is also important to take note of the mongerer ethnic base.

As an Asian who speaks all 3 countries language and have mongered and had real girlfriends in all 3 countries due to my business and work I must say like wise in my humble and very personal opinion Jakarta has been my favourite mongering destination ever since 2005 and perhaps shall remain so unless some major change happens and the ladies change drastically to!

At the end of the day to each his own! I for one will stick to Jakarta and have you guys ever though that if all of us is of the same opinion then Jakarta would be the no 1 spot in the World for Monger es. I for 1 am glad that the West still think that the possibility of them being involved in a terrorist attack in Jakarta is like going to your local 7-11 (A famous convenience store found virtually everywhere here in Malaysia) which some of us do on a daily basis!

I am pretty new to the mongering scene and have in the course of my work, visited AC/MNL, BKK and JKT. I have found Thai girls a lot mot hotter but they do have a prejudice against dark skinned chaps.

AC is definitely the place to go as it is definitely value for money but I found very girls to be gfe; most keep it commercial; some prove major disappointments.

JKT is different - I have seen the attitude of Thailand but also the friendliness of Jawa. I have had more wild nights with the girls there than anywhere esle. In my opinion, they are better than the cheaper girls you can find in the fishbowls in Batam.
