There is like five times more tourism to Medellin since just 2015 and also the growth in expats and much of this new growth has been to Laureles.

There were no currency exchange places, and to exchange USD to Pesos required filling out multiple forms in a bank, being fingerprinted, and the being hit with a heavy surcharge / percentage, and a terrible exchange rate. The tourism is good for the Country, but as pointed out by others, it has affected a slice of our hobby (casa's / strip clubs, Facebook, etc.) with the hordes of gringos showing up at least in Medellin.
In my opinion though, even with the tourism and gringos that have followed, it has had little effect on the SW venues frequented by the locals in Medellin, and other Cities throughout the country. I am in Cucuta right now, and have yet to see a gringo, let alone any tourists.

However, I do not believe an influx of gringos caused a decline in quality of chicas. The problem today is the number of fat female paisas. When I first visited Medellin it was unusual to see a fat working girl in the casas. All the hookers were slim and attractive.

Does anybody know the motel Esplendor 70 suite on Carrera 70 A? Saw it on Google maps as is just next door to a hotel I was interested in. VAt the intersection of Calle 52 and Carrea 53 in El Centro, what are the motels like? Safe / clean?
I see that Laureles is pretty close to the centre and to Belen, is it 'safe' (the dreaded word!) to walk to these areas from Laureles during the day? What surrounding areas to Laureles are a definite no-go area, any? Have seen some online chicas I like the look of in Bello and Itagui, are they safe areas, and is it OK to take public transport there? Stay away from Bello, it is very dangerous and without an inside connection you will most likely get robbed or fucked with. Most Prepagos live with thier kid in bello cause the rent is cheap as fuck. For some reason the hotter they are the more dangerous the hood they live in. Its weird.
Anyway. Youll prob want to stay in Med for 2 weeks.
Some advice, bucuramamca is ok but boring but ok. Santa Marta, watch out for the parasite in the water. For all the years I been going, it is the only time I ever got sick was in Santa Marta. Like don't even brush your teeth with the tap water. Each packaged food only or else you will be out for 3 days with the worst stomach pain and throw up and shitting in your entire life.
Other then that, lautrrles is dope cause its close to all the casa and way easier to get to, but do an airbnb instead.
Here's a few Do's and Don'ts in Centro.
As of today, $30,000 pesos is $8. 72 cents USD and $50,000 pesos is $14.50 cents USD. If you cannot afford to spend $15 USD for an incredible session, please be careful in Centro. Many of these girls have male companions and boyfriends and husbands that are nearby to keep them safe. Many of the girls have told me that the Americans are getting cheaper and cheaper and expecting more and more service for less money. I have seen a few fights in Parque Botero since I arrived and I have seen how the entire set up works. I have yet to see anyone post that a Casa was only charging $30 mil for half hour sessions? If the girl gives you an incredible time, at least have $15 to give her.

Drank bottled water & salads / lettucevegtables in the restaurants and. Not a bit of problems. I always drink bottled water but never think about this when brushing in the morning. So again, no problems with the water in SMR.
I did however, get the symptoms you describe while on a trip to MDE but I wouldn't / didn't discourage anyone else from going to the MDE based on an isolated incident.
