I absolutely detest the "intentions" bit.

It's really a thinly disguised, "When are you going to start paying all my bills?" "How soon can I retire off of your stupidity?"

GE informed that while in CDO last week he spoke with the GM at the now infamous Mallberry Hotel. She mentioned how the situation involving one of my tailor made designer shirts that was sent to laundry but NEVER RETURNED was "still under investiagtion". Now isn't this just great! Three fucking months after a member of her hotel staff steals the shirt she is "investigating".

The Hotel I am at in Cebu City is NOT the nice hotel I thought. No, we have yet another piece of shit place to stay. Too many problems to mention here but much is similar to at the Mallberry. Here also the Staff all speak english at best on a third grade level and many not at all. Lazy is too kind a word and they failed tp put GE's phone calls through to me on four (4) separate occasions.

The worst howev er just occurred today! The 19 y/o I was seeing came by. She informed me that a "girlfriend" of hers here in my Hotel told her that yesterday I had five, yes five, different women come by to see me, including one with a baby. Actually, it was only four women but the fucking *itch cannot count I guess.

I sent the 19 y/o tramp out and told her NOT to return! I then went and had a 30 minute discussion with the Hotel GM, only person here to speak fluent English. He is "investigating" this matter. Much like the GM in the Mallberry I presume. But is IS time for me to seek a new Hotel here in Cebu. Been staying here for 13 years now but this is not a Place for me any longer.

The GM and I both imagine it is one of the Interns working in the Hotel, a HRM Major in school at the 19 y/o asshole is a student teacher and heard this ONLY THIS MORNING.

Fortunately, this being Cebu and NOT CDO, there are dozens of decent Hotels to choose from now. The Park Lane is right next to Ayala Mall, walking distance, in fact. This will be my first choice.

I generally stgay at the Parklane as enjoy it but tried the Elizabthe down the road opposite the Golden Prince.

Soft opening rates of 50% off until 15 December. New hotel nice rooms, clean and staff are fine. No crap about how many girls visit, as I had 3 threesomes today before I leave and my Cebu favourite is never told anything...v discrete

Be sure ask for Deluxe with a double bed. no bath but big shower enough for 3 cuties. My rate is 2250 pesos net and am very happy with the room

If i can negotiate the rates will stay after 15 December as by then full rate is over 4000 pesos a night and I can get Parklane via the various hotel website much cheaper.

Free wifi, breakfast OK not great but OK and I stay in all sorts so am impressed..and one or two cute staff as well. But more importantly very discrete.

Also easier walking to Ayala (Metro Store entrance).

It is a SOFT opening still so bear that in mind, it is not the Dusit Manila, it is not a Shangri La but is is a nice new clean hotel, well located with happy staff. Not everything works at times but I was pleased and if I can get a decent rate post soft opening will come again

As DS has rightly pointed out to me there is no bath tub. Now for me I like the large shower in the room as enough for 3 or 4 persons. Bath tubs in hotel generally barely fit a pinay let alone a man of my size. But I can see the attraction of it is huge enough

Also the rooms have in-room safes. Nice flat screen TVs..

All in all I liked the hotel and if it can get its rates in line with others post soft opening then will be nice to stay again.

Post soft opening rates jump to PHP 4500+ while it competitors (for me this is parklane and the new Diamond Suites next to Parklane) are around the PHP 3000-3500 mark on the various hotel web sites for same time period.

As my time in Cebu is my cash not my company's I like a nice place but at a decent rate. I have spoken with hotel management and sent them an email asking for their views. Hopefully sense will prevail. But this is the Philippines.

Sense will prevail when clients start going to alternative hotels due to the Elizabeth raising their prices.

Your problem is that you're looking at this as a rational business person. The paradigm here is different though. That's not to say I've ever been able to understand the Philippine business model--assuming that such an entity exists--or that I've ever met anyone who does understand it. All that I do understand of it is that it has nothing to do with consumer satisfaction, consumer demand, or economics as that term is generally understood.

Weird as in the Middle East many employers chose pinays etc exactly because of the good service. And it is true, here they are excellent. Must be the water, the food or the fact they get a salary that helps their family. Whatever I will never understand it.
