I'd like to do a side trip to asuncion the next time Im in BA. The only drawback is figuring out my lodging situatin in BA.

I was going to go this past june but I wound up not going due to having pre paid somewhere in BA for the month.

I guess If I had a more flexible budget I could go and come back to any hotel in BA but finding the right place with availability was difficult. I dont do apartments.

Also worth mentioning is I banged alot of girls from paraguay in BA(on the cheap) that gave me good service. I figured why waste the time and effort in traveling when I was getting it in BA.

I just seen on the web site of asunsex.com that the girls at Claus 1 was asking for 100 usd for everything at the hotel?

I have had girls at my place for 60 usd for 2 hours and EVERYTHING.

Will all of you jerk offs stop getting suckerd into paying high price!

I have noticed some of the places are starting to charge 35 dollars for a hour instead of the normal 20.

First I would rather marry a Paraguayan than any gringa in the world! I would have to say you are right about many latin women that come from the upper class society and that is because they are spoiled. How ever I belive that all americans are spoild and the gringas are worthless.

Clorinda Hotel 1200000Gs without breakfast.

Plane seemed to be the fastest and cheapest : 380 Euros + 110 Euros taxes for 3 flights : Lyon to Milano Malpensa (Air France)+ Milano to Sao Paulo (Alitalia)+ Sao Paulo to Asuncion (TAM).

The total travel time : 17 hours ( 15 hours flying) with 45 minutes transfer in Milano and 1 hour in Sao Paulo. Luggage was sent directly to Asuncion, boarding and getting to fly gate didnt take more than 20 minutes in both Milano and Sao Paulo.

The cheapest options to Buenos Aires were more expensive than for Asuncion (515 Euros) with very inconvenient schedule (early morning) and from Madrid (you need to book a low cost to get there).

I d like to nuance the "cheap status" of hotels in Asuncion. If you compare with most towns in Argentina, it s still 50% more expensive and much more expensive than Bolivia.

No need to take a taxi from the airport. They will quote you 90,000 to the center while you can catch a bus (linea 30) for 2,500 which is fairly confortable and will stop wherever you ask him to on his route. If you really need a taxi, just walk 200 meters to the gas station in front of airport, taxis are half the price there.

To go to the bus station from the center, use the linea 38.

I m staying at the city hotel for 15 Euros a night including buffet breakfast with wifi in rooms and a balcony over the street, 2 blocks from the center. This seems to be a good quality/convenience quality price for the town.

i used a flight comparator like this one : easyvols.fr. they actualise the offers minute by minute so if you insist or get at the right time you can get lucky. just browse the prices over one month and check the best fare. the usual price was 200 euros higher but the offer appeared for 5 minutes at 3 am and i caught it right away. looks like some companies release better deals occasionally to fill in their lowest occupancy. i booked the flight 3 weeks before leaving. the three flights were sold as a package by alitalia, so they were holding the whole responsability if transfer time was too tight. in sao paulo, some al italia employees were directing passengers to the gates for their transfers. not having to bother with registring the luggage for the two transfers was heaven.

al italia has a fairly bad reputation, but the service i got was good. smiling crew, supportive, bilingual, no flight delay, more films than you can watch, ok food.

i toured different boliches mentioned here. in mid afternoon, many had only 2 or 3 girls, some girls were left alone without anybody to introduce them. but i found a gem in the dust. i strongly recommend babilonia, azara 1270 (/c curupayti). a cute lil mansion with very friendly staff, 10 girls introduced individually, very confortable rooms with private shower and fan. management has to be good because the girls seemed at ease, smiling and joking. i had a very enjoyable time with barbie, a tiny slim girl from argentina, girl friend experience and buena onda. unrushed and natural. same 100,000 for 1h15. <i met the lady boss on my way out who inquired about the quality of the service.
