Are international flights open in Brazil now? Is there a period of quarantine?
I'm looking for anywhere I can ride this thing out for the next 2-3 months.

Its closed still until end of the month but expect it to be extended.
Hey Guys, I suppose you can file this post under stupid shit, but here goes anyway: It has been 20 years since I last visited Brazil. I used to travel to SA (Colombia, Brazil) all the time in the '90's until I fell big time for demure SE Asian girls. With the Corona BS going on it looks like I might not be allowed to go on my mid summer 2.5 month Thai / Indonesia trip and if I can't go to Asia from mid August to the end of October I won't be able to go there at all in 2020. I know Brazil is currently on hold too, but should the country reopen by the Fall I would be very interested in flying down for a quicky 2 week Sao Paulo fix. I mean holiday visit. LOL.
I know where to find the girls. That's not a problem. And I think it will be fun rediscovering the town. My dumb ass question concerns what SP Hotels are Guest Friendly? I have searched the internet and strangely can't find the answer. Is it all, some, or a few? I prefer 4* & 5* hotels relatively close to the action with sunny outdoor swimming pools.
Thanks in Advance.
NB.

I was in Sao Paulo at that same time last year and it was freezing. So an outdoor swimming pool will do you no good. And you will be lucky if it is sunny.

The coldest months in SP are June, July and August. If my summer travel plans to Thailand fall thru, I was thinking of going to Sao Paulo in late October / November provided Brazil opens up. The temp range in November is a low of 65f to a high of 80f. Not as warm as I like it, but warm enough. But you are right. In my preliminary research, I was surprised to see the number of quality SP hotels with in-door pools.
Maybe there is an exception but as far as I know, in SP, they all are.
Good to know.

Brazil is the new hot spot for COVID-19! And you know the situation is many magnitudes worse due to a gross lack of testing and under reporting. I have heard estimates that the true level of infection ranges anywhere from 12% to 15% higher. Who knows? What we know for sure is that people are dying!

Travel restriction extended for another 30 days.

At least vaccine manufactures will look to Brasil for clinical trials of their vaccines to see if it works because it is so widespread there.

Which it can't be. You have the biology to survive it or not.
Governments don't tell a virus how to operate.
Either way, lets hope its all over soon and we can travel back.
