At least, according to some of the posters on this board.
Personally I think its great. I just wonder, why the fuck do they keep posting on a board about Angeles if they dislike it so much?
As for Thailand, I recently went to Bangkok. I went in Nana Plaza, 440 baht ($13 USD) for a ladies drink and $150 USD (5 k baht) for a barfine. Oh, and that's before the tips.
I love Angeles, the good, the bad, and the ugly!
Have to fully agree that there is so much more to the phills than Angeles city, have travelled far and wide in the phills over nearly 3 decades and like yourself find much better options away from Angeles bars.
"Old and Ugly" is going to Vigan in December. What information do you have about Vigan? I will be passing through Santa Maria, San Fernando, and then possibly Dagupan this week. What information do you have about those locations? I just posted about Bangued in Abra (north Luzon). I also just posted trying to point a guy in the right direction for the street girls and the bar girls in Cagayan De Oro but stated the info was dated but unlikey has changed much. I have never seen a post of yours about any other location. Please tell me or show me one post of your "far and wide" cities that you visited.

Lead with that!
Napa, if you find Korean and Thai women more attractive, in general, than pinay women, then lead with that. I can understand that. But there is no need to really smear pinay because of that. It's just a matter of preference.
As far as Phil's tactics, he has written about it many times in the forum. Just read back in this thread and other threads. It's good advice if you want genuine girls and want to avoid the bars.

Two-thirds of the current barfine amount gets you a girl who probably has much less mileage from Tinder, DIA, FB or such. Obviously those are not the point-and-shoot advantage of the gogos, but with the post-covid drawbacks of the gogos (uncertainty of expectation / outcome). If your DIA date flakes out (or is tranny), you can walk into Lollipop.

Same Oo same o Nay Sayer
Nay sayer non actionable reports are worthless. Post with actual barfines or dates with A girl that fucks is of value to mongers. Anything else is worthless.
A ffing tourist report was all that was! I got more info from TripAdvisor!

I think everyone's situation is different these days in AC.
For me personally, it has only been work that has taken me close by.
I've never really done the gogos, as I've worked out over time, it's not my scene and they're so overpriced these days when you factor in LD's and the other additional costs, one shot wonders, and even bartender tips. We won't even go into the Korean factor.
Generally everywhere I go in The Phils, I have other tactics in place that don't involve time-wasting online hook-ups.
I absolutely understand that a lot of guys still love the AC scene and that's great.
I personally have found there's better options for me.
If guys have a problem with me posting here on The Angeles forum because I don't necessarily like the place, that's fine. But I have offered alternative gogo reports in the recent past about freelancers and blow row opportunities that were ideal while I was in town.
To put it simply, if you go to AC you're going to get laid. It just depends how much you're prepared to pay these days.
Are there better options? Probably yes.
Does AC still do it for you? Then enjoy the experience.
Chances are, if you negotiate your way through it while you're there, you'll have a great time.
Just my experience _ Phil.

You're right I didn't post about other places, while I was doing it I only had the phone with me (I don't know how to do it from it), also there was nothing wow, worth of mentioning, also I didn't feel like reading or reporting in the forum, the only thing I used was the maps, Whatsapp, Email and PinaLove. It was total disconnect, the only worry I had was to be someplace where I can extend my visa every few months, I wish the eGov app was avail back then.
I can list some places that I recall if I look on the map, and If you need info, and I can remember I'm more than happy to oblige. One thing is for sure, there is no place like AC.
Banaue, Batad, lots of villages around the area.
Baguio, Bolinao, Olangopo.
All kind of cities around AC.
Tagaytay, Cavite, Batangas.
The North part of Mindoro.
Busuanga,
Whole Palawan,
Visayas without Samar.
North Mindanao.
Lots of little Islands. Some known, some unknown.
I took my time, no hurry, nobody waiting for me. For example from Ormoc to Danao it took me almost a month via the Camotes Islands where it seemed that I was the only tourist on the whole archipelago or whatever is called. Other times I had female companions, or a PinaLove girl waiting somewhere.

Post-pandemic we have a downtick in gringo travel to phils for gogos, period (look at the country's immigration stats, visitors are down 40%; and look at our common description of the decrease in westerners on WS). And I notice both here on the Board, and in my neck of the woods, an increase in provincial foreign travelers garnering the gash. One of the reasons I (and others that I know) do it is simply we have time on our hands and like to island-hop. AC is a familiar place, and has a plethora of ladies in and out of the gogos.
Enjoy this non-gogo. But quiet, please, as she needs her beauty sleep (it recharges her pinay-gasms).

As far as lollipop bar as a back up then last night it was dead of punters and mostly fuglies on stage, as you know You were sent a private message by myself with a meet venue on walking street and a time to meet for last night, you were a no show as I thought you would be, guess that shows who is in angeles and who is not, thanks.

Maybe joining an angeles city fan club type forum will serve your self interests better.
As far as Bangkok prices then they must have seen you coming in nana plaza or the girls just did not want to go with you and doubled their asking prices to get rid of you, food for thought.

There is an expat that bakes some, but you need to order it in advance (it's understandable), so if you run out of bread, the only backup is rice, for my GF's delight.
There are few pizza places, they all bake the same frozen pie, with a mushy, wet, sweet crust topped with ketchup, burgers made of mystery meat (actually I got to the conclusion that's flavored, grounded TP), otherwise rotisserie chicken everywhere, but they put something sweet on it and it tastes like road kill, and pork belly which is delicious, but you get tired of it. There is a couple that makes monthly trips to S&are in Cebu and buys stuff for you for a fee, but being a whole day trip is understandable that they can't bring any fresh stuff, only cans or dry goods, like in the few stores on the islands, just of better quality.
Being on an island you may think that there's fish everywhere, but the same mysterious absence of fresh fish from the restaurant, and carinderia menus like in the rest of the PH applies here too, the only time I eat it is when my GF cooks it after she buys it from the roadside stalls, I like it, I eat it, but I can't fully enjoy it because I'm always thinking about the lack of refrigeration, and the freaking flies. I always find it strange that with few exceptions, you'll find fish and seafood restaurants only in the busy tourist destinations.
My GF's favorite is sinigang, just like the rest of the filipinas, I used to like it too, but after I saw how she makes it, I realised that in the restaurants they use the same method, and all I can think of is the pouch of "magic sarap" full of chemicals that goes into it.
Therefore you have to understand, that when I come to AC I'm like a kid in a candy store: Swiss Chalet, Angels Bakery, Kokomos, Korean, etc, I hit them all. Every few weeks after living like Robinson Crusoe, but surrounded by people, I find AC to be the pinacle of culinary delights.

I enjoy cooking, and I'm good at it. I actually do small-scale catering in my spare time back in the US. Thai and Filipino food. Part of the reason Filipino food gets a bad rep is because of the magic sarap / bitsin / Ajinomoto that is used to enhance flavors that aren't there. It is used because it is cheaper than quality ingredients. Not to sound bad, but we are not dirt poor if we can afford to go to Philippines. Either bring quality ingredients and sauces that are hard to find when you enter the country, or order them. I bring several bottles of premium fish sauce every time I come because they don't have it in the Philippines in any store I've visited. Oyster sauce is easy enough to find in SM grocery usually (Lee Kum Kee with the boat lady on it). I will cook for people there almost every day and they are amazed at how good the food is, especially when they see I use no MSG. Quality ingredients make all the difference!

Yup Swiss Chalet is goddam elite. Steak and salad bar with a glass of wine (pro tip, order ALL the steak sauces on the side). Looking forward to returning in December.
