I will say that the guy running the Turkish Kebab cart outside of Nana makes amazing food. 60 baht kebabs and 2 make a great meal. Far better than a burger.
Robert Long,
300 tip after paying 2000 is ridiculous. No more than than 100 RMB if you must tip. I usually just tell them the tip is included in the 2000. The girls are always fine with that answer.
Ok Cheap Charlie, but $10.00 is nothing to me and it means a lot to her. These girls remember the guys that treat them well. I'm from a tipping society that realizes that a small gratuity is appreciated. I tip well everywhere. It's all about Karma. I've been fortunate in life so why not treat others well?
Aloha RL.
I am visiting Thailand second time in end of March for ten days (wish it was ten years) LOL I have been reading forum in preparation for my visit and I must say that Natty Bumpo your summarized report is very helpful. Having experience is one thing and efficiently writing about is an art which many people lack. Well done and keep it up Natty Bumpo.
Natty summed it up very nicely.
I love both too. Patts is cheaper and easier to navigate. So I prefer it for holiday if I just want to relax and not worry too much about what I want to do on any given day. For a longer stay or for a place to live I am pretty sure I'd like BK much better as it's a real International city with much to offer.
But why not hit both and decide for yourself?

Aloha RL.
You just don't get it. Cheap Charlie, Karma, Fortunate, Treat others well.
If you are so fortunate, go to the erotic review in whatever city you are in. I can promise you they will have Thai women for you. Show them you aren't a Cheap Charlie, you have Karma, you are Fortunate, and you treat others well.
We don't need you driving up the prices in Thailand because you are fortunate, because most of us are not.

Aloha RL.
Being from a tipping society doesn't mean that you have to throw around money with your home standards.
I apply local standards, so I wouldn't tip a daily minimum wage of the place because hey, others have to work a long day for that amount!
For Thailand that's THB 300 (or has it risen again?
Cost of condoms in Bangkok:
http://www.bangkokcomplementaryhealth.com/Condom-Packs.html
Like in the USA, cost might be slightly cheaper or slightly more expensive at 7-11 or pharmacies; but the difference shouldn't be too significant.
I would be seriously worried if one needs to start browsing through the net to search for the cheapest condom.
After the "where do we get the best exchange rate" (to change maybe 200 bucks) are we now heading into "where to find the cheapest condom"?
If the price of condom is a concern. OMG, people should stay home, DIY (bit don't wash hands as also soap comes with a cost).
LOL.
So off I went to the Hauy Kwang district after lunch. Got off the MRT and walked around checking out the area. The first is the group of Soapy are The Madame, Nataree, and Emmanuelle.
RL.
Never been to this area of town.
Are these places easy to find?
Never been to this area of town.
Are these places easy to find?
They are only easy to find IF you take the right exit from MRT. If not, then you will be going in the opposite direction and not even realizing (happened to me the first time). If memory serves me right, take EXIT 3 at Hauy Kwang. Emmanualle is just 100 meters walk to your right. You can't miss as it is a huge building with its own billboard at its entrance. Nataree is next door. If you continue for another 450 meters or so down the street - take another right- you will get to Lord spa. Walk further down the street, you will find Colonze II.
Across the big and heavily traveled avenue from Emanualle, there is another luxurious establishment. Is it Ceasars?
Although the MRT is easy to use (announcements and signs are in english & Thai), it gets too crowded during rush hour (3 pm to 9 pm?) . I had to wait on a number occasions for another train in order to get onboard after the first one came. Be ready to shove and push for ingress and egress.

As you emerge Nataree and the others will be to your right and Ceasars across the street to your left. The right hand side of the street is obviously the best place to shop. I would visit Ceasars only if there were absolutely nothing available in the other shops, but that won't be the case.

But if you go to a club a beer and a LD is 300. And you say I am driving up the prices? Then you must pay a BF and negotiate with the WG for how much she wants? Dude, where is your report that shows lower prices for the same service?
Respectfully.

Are these all soapy massage places?
We don't need you driving up the prices in Thailand because you are fortunate, because most of us are not.
Please, as if one man giving a tip for good services is going to ruin the market.
Besides, since tips come after the service is provided, they cannot drive up the price of the service itself. If anything, they may even keep the price of the service lower as (perhaps) the girls start to expect a tip and thus lure you in by agreeing a lower basic price (and getting a fat tip).

I spent a short week in Bangkok, staying at the Sofitel Sukhumvit (see report in Bangkok hotels tread).
I found Nana Plaza and the surrounding areas good, but not fantastic. Mostly availed myself of the freelancer there. Found three deaf girls and went with one of them. I was hoping for an soft, somehow different experience. She behaved sweetly, but it was a little hurried.
Had a look at Annie's massage near Nana Plaza, and found the talent surprisingly bad. I probably arrived too late, but still I was shocked.
I had some nice experiences with SWs from along Sukhumvit. Price range 1000-2000 baht, so cheaper than other options. During some period of the night loads of miniature bars pop up along Sukhumvit, basically a hand trolley with some booze standing on it. Very many of them have attractive girls sitting at them trying to lure you to sit down. This is a (mild) trick to get you to buy a drink in the hope of getting the girl to go with you, but normally she won't. The proper street walkers are usually not sitting at a bar, but standing or sitting on the curb or something like that.
I found Patpong not that great. Parts of it are heavily dominated by ladyboys and / or gays (bless them for stepping aside and improving the female-male supply-demand balance in our favour, but it is not what I am looking for). But there are a few go go bars with very attractive girls there.
Soi Cowboy has a lot of action in little space. I particularly enjoyed one bar. I think it may be called Crazy House or something like that. It is outside the actual Soi Cowboy alley. To get there you have to walk to the bottom of the alley and take a right and walk about 20 feet. There are a lot of girls on stage there, most of them all nude. I am not that interested in strip shows. But this is different. There are also a lot of customers. The girls are rowdy and provocative and there is a lot of interaction with customers. The result is a continuous wild party atmosphere. You may think it is a rip off, but it is worth buying 2-3 lady drinks just for the hell of it, at least when I girl gives you the eye, a little show or approaches you. The girls appreciate it, and it is nice to have a totally naked lady rubbing up against oneself. Once you buy one or two girls a drink, the others will notice it and start to give you positive attention too.
I actually found the Bangkok girls quite loving and am not sure sure of the conventional wisdom that Thais are more professional and Pinoys more loving. Now I think more of Pinoys as scheming / demanding and Thais as honest / loving. I had two girls stay overnight with me, something I usually don't go for, but they were just such cuddly kittens.
Bangkok is not a particularly cheap mongering destination. If you stick strictly to street walkers it can be cheap, but selection (that I saw) will be limited. There are many attractive girls in the go go bars, but you end up paying 2500-4500 baht (lady drink + bar fine + girl's fee + short time hotel + tip), especially if you want to save time and go for a short time room so that you can come back quickly and do more girls.
I found that some of the girls would have one or two kids and still almost no impact on their bodies or pussies. In the end I stopped speculating about whether they had had kids or not.
In my limited experience, when Thai girls enjoy DATY, they arch their backs and raise their hips into the air.
Thai food is spectacular.
I used condoms strictly for all penetrative sex, but did go for BBBJs. Somehow I managed to contract something, probably chlamydia (I though gonorrhoea, but doc says it would hurt more). So now I have white puss dripping from my dick, waiting for test results and taking antibiotics. I always operate this way, am an experienced monger and have never had trouble like this before. I encourage others to also report similar problems so that we can all have an objective picture of risks and problems. I am still not going to stop mongering.
