At the expense of sounding like I am bragging here is a true story, keep in mind I have been with easily a thousand plus women, all over Europe, Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, the US, Canada, Asia, the Caribbean, Cuba, middle and south America and my absolutely perfect most beautiful woman was found at DV in Rio in 2000, damn still remember her beauty and all for me, hehehe for 2 hours anyway.

I recall the fun filled beauties I picked up from HELP, long gone as I am told, what a shame as it was a fun place.

So the story is don't put off another visit as did I, don't wait 25 years.

As a mid 40's guy going there solo on Friday it felt quite awkward given how young the crowd is and fact that only a smaller fraction are working. On that particular night there was a line to get in and it was largely groups of guys and girls who looked to be 18-22. I could only tell the working girls as those who were standing alone or holding longer eye contact (not many). I 'might' go again, but would not go solo. Would probably take a favorita who likes to dance. Also, FWIW I was told that Thursday is 'trap house' music, which I'm not into. But maybe someone is.

But most in this area are looking to pickpocket people and many are trans.

There are so many options in rio you would not really want to look for street workers. The streets at night can be a dangerous place.

During the daytime you can get lucky strolling or hanging out along the beach.

They are seeking male tourists, unsuspecting dudes, two or three guys walking together doesn't matter. Strolling Copa evenings and nights. They will get your cellular, iPhone, watch, wallet, chain, passport, keys, credit card, chinelos, tenis, jaquet whatever you are carrying or wearing while your distracted. Motoboys, bikes and street runners are carefully tracking you or your bros too.

Don't stroll around Centro at night 8 pm or later looking for strange. Strange is lurking. Waiting for you too. Do you speak and understand brasilian Portuguese?

Follow that guide, learn some porto, enjoy your trip, stay safe, have fun and write a report. Its like any other big city.. You are looking.. Strange is looking for you too..kkk
