Streets
I am looking to go to Brazil for the first times. Can someone tell me the hotspots for Street girls and their prices. I have read through some threads and only see talk about clubs and bars. That is not my scene.
This is not a destination for street action. If you need that, then you need to go somewhere else.

In Rio there are plenty of street action, but not in Zona Sul, and you'll be better off with a car. If you like the street scene, go to Vila Mimosa. The street action in Copacabana is gone.

Elsewhere

No good! Better to look elsewhere.

Visa situation
So my 10 year visa is about to expire. Was able to enter Brazil one last time in last month. I am curious what kinda visas you guys have now? I will likely just get the e-visa. I read that some of you seem to live in Brazil year round. What's you immigration status?

I actually had a dangerous experience in Barra when 3 underage females (14-15 yo) trying to get me to take them to my place. Thank God I was with my regular go to GDP that quickly turned it all into joke. Be careful folk.
Anyone knows any good spots outside of Zona Sul besides Vila Mimosa?

There is street action at Barra p9-11, which is why casuarina is such a good spot, posto 10.
There is street action at olegario maciel if you know the working girls from riosexsite dot com and barravipsrio dot com, especially if they live in your building as they did at transamerica.

That is very true.
A wrist strap and a vertex SOCP belt, the smaller one, saved one of my phones. Which, alas, later died in the ocean. Make sure your water proof cases are really water proof on ocean swims.
Ann Amari was never on time to do phone watch, and we decisively ended things yesterday, which rationally is a good move.
Teams of pretty street garotas and spicy trans are looking for you too. They are seeking male tourists, unsuspecting dudes, two or three guys walking together doesn't matter. Strolling Copa evenings and nights. They will get your cellular, iPhone, watch, wallet, chain, passport, keys, credit card, chinelos, tenis, jaquet whatever you are carrying or wearing while your distracted. Motoboys, bikes and street runners are carefully tracking you or your bros too.
Don't stroll around Centro at night 8 pm or later looking for strange. Strange is lurking. Waiting for you too. Do you speak and understand brasilian Portuguese?
On the other end of the spectrum is casablackrio in zona norte.
Anyone up for a trip there?
Vitirinni is more on the morena / branca end of the spectrum, Brazilian Italian gringas.
I went about a week ago on a Friday. As a mid 40's guy going there solo on Friday it felt quite awkward given how young the crowd is and fact that only a smaller fraction are working. On that particular night there was a line to get in and it was largely groups of guys and girls who looked to be 18-22. I could only tell the working girls as those who were standing alone or holding longer eye conta ct (not many). I 'might' go again, but would not go solo. Would probably take a favorita who likes to dance. Also, FWIW I was told that Thursday is 'trap house' music, which I'm not into. But maybe someone is.
What do instead? Read on the forum Complete Idiot's Guide to Copacabana by ShinyCrazy. Follow that guide.
Follow that guide, learn some porto, enjoy your trip, stay safe, have fun and write a report. Its like any other big city.. You are looking.. Strange is looking for you too..kkk
Rookie mistake. Me and two buddies walking late night on street side of Copacabana (don't do this. Always walk beach side.). Got accosted by a group of "girls" getting hands on and showing tits and go with me baby. We fended them off super quick. But when we got back to hotel two out of three of us were missing phones! It's a real thing believe me. They are PROs!

I also usually walk with my hands in my pockets.

I mentioned this to a Brazilian girlfriend and she said, but honey you're a 'Gringo, gringo'. White, blonde, tall, etc. And you really stand out. The thieves and girls know that you will have money, won't have a weapon, and won't stay around to file a report.
I have also had groups of thieves (mostly the trannies LOL) follow me on Copa and try to catch up to me. I had a thief wrestle me to the ground a year ago to steal my phone on the beach.
Net / net. I suggest one take care in suggesting that just because they have been fine, that there is not different, and perhaps elevated, danger profile for others.

I only had a couple issues: 1) They are extremely particular about the photo that you submit (so take a little time to get right), and 2) it took them 1 month to process (just implemented, new process), and I needed to follow up a couple times. I understand from friends that it is down to 3-5 days now.

Hands in Pockets
I walk on the street side late at night all the time, but I know better than to let strange people come up on me; nevermind touch me. I also usually walk with my hands in my pockets.
Yeah I've gotten in the habit of hands in pockets pretty much 24/7 in Brazil and similar. But still recommend beachside. You don't have to skirt any shady characters and many restaurants are open late so it just feels less dodgy.

I've seen tons of snatch and grab along the orla (beachside). Young guys on bikes pass by tourists and snatch their neckless or phone.

Agree
That is very true.

Buy a leash for your fancy iPhone, back it up, or carry burner and get a leash anyway, make a color copy of passport, carry that instead of original passport, the security offices in the buildings with the prives on rio branco will accept the color copy no problem, if you are strolling copa or centro late at night looking for strange. They won't get your original passport. Panda motel will accept it and there is no problem to have threesome or foursome in panda motel with hot garotas if you worried the airbnb or hotel is not guest friendly.
For repeat visitors, foristas, brothers, dudes, make your brasilian experience easier get a cpf number. It can be done completely online including payment, in a week or two all by email.
If you wandering around searching for garotas in freelance bars in copa or botafogo Carry cash you are willing to lose and a credit card willing to lose. A bunch of no-account mofos guys on the omnibus in centro or metro entrance were waiting for prive garotas to board the omnibus or enter the metro with their purses to snatch & grab. Garotas get paid at the end of the prive shift in the evening, their phones have fresh pix payment or worse cash from the end of the day shift.
Use ATM inside banks, the bradesco bank lobby is open late until midnight are. Sen. Dantas, 61 - Centro, Rio de Janeiro. RJ, 20031-202 and Bradesco bank next to Eden Spa. Remember you are being clocked and tracked across the street by that homeless dude in his carton. Take Uber everywhere it's easy and inexpensive. I was lucky to have a former Monte Carlo garota as an Uber driver. that was a damn fun ride kkkk i can drink too much so cannot trust two or more girls in hotel room or airbnb spot .. keep an eye on both of them, no matter how friendly they seem. i wake up in the morning trying to figure out did they do some stupid shit like smoke in the bathroom (a fine by the hotel and airbnb owners) or swipe some crap from the room.. why my tnis or socks gone kkkk
Believe in karma , sometimes they do get caught , they cannot stop the thrill of getting away with it. I have been to Forum Criminal in sao paulo or Tribunal de Justia do Estado do Rio de Janeiro to see bail set by the judge which is based on their annual salary or no bail if they are a single mom , unemployed with kids and no history of getting caught before.
