Are you entering the phone number correctly? Hit the F1 key for YM help. You need to enter the country code +63 for Phils. I use CHIKKA and number starts with 63. e.g. 639155555555.

Go to Landmark in Makati and you will see no end of old and young shopping together. Sure the matrons will have a little tut tut and "how could he/she".. give them the evil eye and they will back off.
You will have no probs at all out on the road either. In the Phils they are bought up to both appreciate an older guy, to not see any major age difference as strange, and for most, they will not even look at you.

It is ok here in Manila and other cities. I have seem many Caucasian folks going with young 20 year olds. People don't seem to care but notice it anyway.
I have seem many folks also let the girl walk in front of her, so that it does not look obvious they are together but it only happens if they live in high rise condos and have to see the same people again and again in elevators and walk ways....otherwise, its cool...in mall bars sand restaurants no body cares...

I’m chuffed that you guys put me onto Chikka. It’s just what I needed. Living in the Philippines, where most communication is by message, I waste so much time tapping out sms’s and if, like me, you have sausages for fingers, it can be very time consuming. Only problem with Chikka is that whereas Chikka to CP texts are free, CP to Chikka texts cost P2-50 which is no great problem as the girl can reply in normal sms (they balk at the extra P1-50).
More worryingly is that after a couple of texts without Chikka reply, sms’s are prefaced by a warning that future messages may be blocked, if not replied through Chikka. Does anyone know if this the case?
Once Google Voice offers local phone numbers for the PI, it will re-write the rules on this game. I do suggest you request a free Google Voice number for your area now.

Anyone have suggestions for basic medical testing clinics that will EMAIL me the results and are open for drawing blood late at night or early morning (better if open 24 hours).
I just need basic testing HIV STD and such for insurance and visas. I normally go to Makati Medical where a clerk would scan and email me the results after testing was done and ready but she left and the new staff won't do that for me.
They will allow other people to pick up your results but it's a hassle and I'd rather just find a place that will do a quick test, or email results. Any suggestions? And prefer a place more near Makati if possible.
