Strange women....I have had similar chats over the last few months. I have one in Davao who pops up every blue moon and says absolutely nothing. This morning I even asked her why did you even contact me and she said "Nothing" :)

my 19year old steady gf has had ample opportunity over the last 12 months to improve her english with me but still talks in her barely intelligble manner that she had when i first met her. she has learned studiously about all things sex though...

After this exiting game I went to don pedros massage, 1000p for the room, 1500 for the gurl, went home around 7am.

Hmm.. actually I should post something about Manila...ok, here we go...after the typhoon hit the Philippines and caused some flooding in Manila areas, traffic should be ok now, which means I take fly the bus tomrow to AC :D

Life is good if SM light draft avaible..

A bunch of us are heading over to Angeles City 4th of July weekend, leaving on Friday morning, July 4. Planning on being there for a few days, coming back on Monday or so. Any advice on taxi or other mode of transportation? I've heard of the swagman bus. If you're interested, let me know.

Hey, I'm thinking this through too much, but I have decided to stick to L.A. cafe and possibly Edsa Ent. Complex. was thinking about staying at pan pacific but like Makati. How far is the cab ride to L.A. from The manila penn or shangri la?

Is it better to just stay at the pan pacific. need a safe for valubles too.

Anyone want to join me for a drink at L.A. cafe, PM me. I'll be there 7-25.

It is about fifteen minutes at night without traffic. During the day, hard to tell with traffic since it can get horrendous. If you stay at Pan Pacific, you have Robinson's and Harrison's malls close by. I really liked the rooms at Pan Pacific and it is a little less than Shangri La or Manila Pen. Most hotels three star and up will have in room safes.

Have you considered renting a car and driving since there is a group. I have always been to the Phils alone, but have driven to Angeles 3 times.

The up side of driving is:
+Freedom to come and go on ur schedule.
+Easy to get out to Perimeter Rd & SM mall.
+Parking is no problem since no one drives to AC.

The downside is:
-Navigation and getting lost (unless you speak Tagalog)
-Police - I now figure at least one bribe into the budget.
-Gas is getting very expensive there too.

If you decide to rent and drive be aware of the following:

1. On EDSA, stay out of the BUS lanes (2000 php bribe on trip 1)
2. Change lanes judiciously & no swerving (2000 php bribe on trip 2)
3. Wear your seatbelts (2000 php bribe on trip 3 & this was only 1 block after leaving the rental location in makati).

Otherwise, have a great time.....if only I was there too......

Hello TB,

You forgot one more important thing; don't get into an accident.
Even if it is not your fault, the other party will try to come after you for compensation.
A more serious accident will result in a trip to the police station until they can sort things out and you know what that means.
When I have the need to rent a vehicle, I always get one with a driver.

Re Renting a car and "don't get into an accident". Theres some myths out ther that need clearing up.

I lived in Manila for 5 years and still maintain a car in Manila for my frequent trips. In all that time I had a few accidents as happens. Nothing major. But I never encountered the " your foreign so your at fault" mentality as earlier stated. Each time both parties calmly got out, assessed damage, exchanged number and insurance details and went on our way. Same as in any other country.

Driving in Phils is totally normal (assuming you've driven in all other Asian countries). And the added advantage is there are no cameras to catch you. Unlike most countrries. Never ben stopped for brethalyser (and I should have been 100's of times). Just relax and drive same as everyone else.

Gotta be cheaper to rent a car and driver (AKA a Taxi???) Use a Hotel one and you will get a decent Aircon Vehicle with a reasonable driver, less cost less risk, no hassle.

I've been reading a lot of the older posts lately (back to Jan. 2007) and saw a couple that mentioned a place in Ermita with dancers and GRO's called Harry's.

Can someone tell me if this place still exists and if so, where exactly in Ermita is it? Thanks!
