Thanks for the report. Any more info on Thaniya Road KTVs?
I prefer Patpong to the madness of Suk / Nana / Cowboy. It's just more chilled. Sure, as a non-Asian punter walking down Thaniya you get some pretty odd looks like "what are you doing here". But you just brazen it out, go to the mamasans or papasans at some of the fabulous KTVs with the rows of girls outsides in costumes, ask the prices and make your selection (s). Once they realise that you might have a few bhat to spend, are not baulking at the (reasonable) prices, they are fine. Some of the girls look a bit sceptical but I've never had one refuse to be selected. If you are there for a few nights they start to recognise you as a reliable returning punter and you are welcomed not only by the same bar but by the others as somehow the jungle drums seem to beat along Thaniya that you are a good punter.
The Silom area, for me, is head and shoulders above the mayhem of Sukhumvit. Lumpini is great in the daytime, there are lots of good massage places, it's easy getting Bolts or even Tuks and the traffic is not crazy. BTS available and quite apart from Thaniya some of the side roads have reasonable options. If you're a gogo fan (I'm not particularly) you've got Kings Castle I and II and Radio City. The Irish bar has a great band. I could go on. I won't. I just prefer it. If I'm in BKK for say 7 nights I'll do 2 only at Skyview on Suk 24 for the Alley / massage / soapies. I might still venture to Nana or Cowboy for a walk around but for me it is akin to Walking St in Pattaya. Go see, enjoy some sights but you are unlikely to get drawn and have much better service options in Patong, Thaniya, Suk 24.
As an over 70 year old farang I have also been approached by mamasans in front of those KTVs and implored by them to please come inside, choose a lady, buy a drink and so on. And when I ask "will there be sex?" the mamasans will say yes, you can take a lady to your room for that.
And when I ask if some girls will have Real Sex / BBFSCIP with me, the mamasans look shocked and ask if I want to die from HIV.
And when I ask about a Real Blowjob / BBBJCIM at minimum, the mamasan just looks shocked by the very idea of such a thing, shrugs and never gives a coherent response.
That is when I smile, thank the mamasan for her time and move on.
Then when I think back over all the years and dozens of times I have passed by those KTVs at all hours of the night, it occurs to me that I have never once seen a man walk out of one of them with a young lady in tow or walking next to him that in any way suggested they were on their way to a hotel room to do anything in private, much less have anything remotely similar to Real Sex or a Real Blowjob. Not once. Never seen an Asian man or a farang man walk out of those places with a girl of his choosing to go do anything, not even for a trip to Burger King.
However, it sounds like you have had personal experience with a few ladies in those KTVs. Will you share any details about whatever happened in there with a girl regarding sex, for how much baht, how real was it, etc?
Thanks much if you do.
That is certainly one way to look at it
So basically the mamasans were saying that their girls have HIV. LOL.
Yes, not a good ad campaign. I wouldn't put it up there with "How are you fixed for blades"?
But for sure she was conveying the attitude of the place toward Real Sex / BBFSCIP, at least from the mamasan down, in that she or her girls equate such a thing with everyone dying of HIV / AIDS. Uh, OK.
Either way, it was enough for me to get the message that my chance of achieving anything like BBFSCIP or BBBJCIM in that place with that mamasan's girls was probably 1 in 1,000. And there might never have been as many as 1,000 girls working on the entire Thaniya Road over the past 10 years.
Moreover, as of this writing I have not read or heard any personal report or testimonial from any other punter on the planet that would contradict that conclusion.
As far as any Field Reports I have ever read here or elsewhere goes those Thaniya Road KTVs are where you pay thousands of baht to sing karaoke to ladies and hear ladies sing karaoke to you, maybe while holding your hand, at that's about it.
Maybe that assessment will be dramatically refuted by the time this submission gets posted.
Preexposure prevention medicine
Hi.
I was wondering about the effectiveness of Pre-exposure drugs to prevent HIV such as Truvada. Found an interesting fact that this offers protection only after developing resistance which takes 7-21 days from 1st dosage and when taken regularly. I didn't know this, don't think many are aware of this.
If you are the insertive partner (using your penis, in either vaginal or anal sex), then daily PrEP builds protection by 7 days. For women, it takes longer for developing protection, around 21 days of daily usage.
Does anyone take such medicine regularly, and did you have any side effects. Let us know please.
Regards.
Joyckar.
