I just came back from BKK last 2 weeks with my friends. I was in BKK for 3 nights and I would like to warn whoever might be visiting Patpong. I have been to BKK tons of times and I'm fully aware of notorious Patpong scam, but didnt thought it would struck me this time! I'm refering to the annoying deperate fellows who hassle any tourists/visitors who walk pass Patpong soi 1 and 2.
As for this trip, I was showing my friend who is frst time visiting BKK. He wanted to see some nude go-go dancing, so I took him to Soi Cowboy. We left briefly after touring Soi Cowboy as not much good looking girls. So we all agreed to check out go-go bars in Patpong.
As we were looking around in Patpong soi 1, some really convincing yet annoying guys kept asking us to go check out the tiger show in one of the outlets. My Thai chick who was with us, kept told that asshole to f*ck off, yet he was very convincing and told us just check out the outlet for 2 mins and dont have to pay anything if we dont like and can just walk out immediately. So all agreed, but I had a bad feeling about this.
As we went in an outlet call CLUB 66, we dont see any tiger shows, and we decided to leave, and we left. That guys who escorted us into the outlet, told us that there is one go-go bars who has busty hot chicks dancing and it is not tiger show performance. My guy friend said ok, and agreed to follow that guy to check out the mentioned go-go bar.
The place is called "WILD CAT". Dear cheongsters, pls pls be very aware of this place! It is on second floor and the place is quite huge with extremely ugly looking old aunties shaking their aweful bums. That guy told us only pay for the drinks and entrance is FREE! So we had a quick look inside the place...and we saw bunch of nude dancers on the stage from the entrance(we didnt realised it was older ugly looking girls)!. As we sat down the bar, the next group of dancers switched! It was super fat out of shape old mamas simply pretend to dance on stage!! Couple mins after we ordered Heineken beers each for us, an ugly go-go dancer came and ask us for lady show tips!! WTF!! What show? what tips? We declined...and few mins later...another ugly ***** came ask second time for 100 baht from each of us...which we declined again! She surely looked pissed and I told my chick and my guy friends to quickly drink off the beer and get the hell out of this place as we sense something is wrong.
It was barely 10 mins in the outlet, i ask the waitress for bill. Guess what, the bill came to 5200 baht!!! 4 small bottles of Heineken for 5200 baht??? WTF! I told the waitress to ask for the captain. The captain suddenly took out the 'menu' and showed us lady show 1000 baht each person!!!! WTF man! and each bottle of beer is 300 baht! My Thai chick then told them we r Thai as my 2 guys friends sat quietly and looked puzzzled. Me and my chick pretend and told the captain we dont have enough money and need to go nearest ATM to press money. Actually I wanted to go nearby police station to report and bring the police in! But, the captain does not allow us to leave the place and we sense we r in trouble. So, my chick nego with them and at last they let us go with 2000baht payment.
Dear all, pls pls be aware and do not ever follow any ppl who wanted to show u any go-go or tiger shows in Patpong. Imagine if dont have my thai chick nego with them, what will happen? Except some ground floor go-go bars, which pay only drink. I hope anyone who read this post, will avoid getting into this scam..WILD CAT and CLUB 66. Good luck.

I've not found it very hard to come across (no pun intended!!) really good looking girls 18-23 in Bangkok or Pattaya gogo bars. Obviously if they are good looking honeys they wont be around later in the night so if you want young and good quality I'd suggest hitting the gogo bars at opening time. I know there are a lot of guys I've met that make sure they are there early to pick up the high quality, young girls they have spotted or had previously. Best usually goes first, especially if they aren't stuck up and have a decent personality to match the looks.

That reminds me of so many crazy nights in Sukhumvit street bars drinking til daylight then taking some random girl back to the room. I usually REALLY regret taking her when I wake up out of my coma and cant face doing her again when I see her in daylight and sober!! :-) I always promise myself never again!! Til the next night! If you ever do get into this kind of situation, call the tourist police 1699 right from the bar. If for any reason you can't do that, go to the tourist police immediately (there's an office at the end of Patpong). In almost every case they'll get your money back. They're remarkably efficient, and they really are on your side.

I have and have had access to women in this country you wouldn't get in your wildest fantasies. The babes that you salivate over don't begin to measure up. That's the point. Pay attention. Look at the hundreds of pics I've posted over the last 5+ years. Well, if they were remarkably efficient and on your side, they would be proactive and start patrolling the area to discourage the touts from doing this stuff. It’s not that big of an area for the police to patrol and it's not like they are oblivious to the problem of these touts harassing tourists. There are many similar stories and advice like yours on this board about the Patpong scams. The problem is that the scamming is not only restricted to the so-called sexy shows but to a large number of the sellers in this area who will calmly quote you 2000B for an item only to bring it down to 300B if you haggle or begin to walk away. Try to get a taxi at night in this area and you have to haggle to get the driver to turn the meter on, many will quote you 300B for a fare that with the meter running would have been maybe 60 to 80B. The whole area has the feel of predators preying down on their tourist preys, you have to be able to say no and walk away or you will be scammed in this area. These predators are looking for suckers and yes there are many to be had in this area.

Easier said than done. They're basically intruding into a longstanding relationship between the police and the criminal world, and to stay effective they pretty much have to limit themselves to acting on individual complaints. I've used them a couple times for help with refunds from travel agents and they were both very helpful and also very candid about what they can and cannot do.

Forget about the "hotel folk" in Thailand...it will surely never get to the intended. Maybe if she is ever seen again, a nice gesture would be to offer her the money....while presenting in a way that the Thai can save face.

Whether it's Eden, NEP, Soi Cowboy, G-Club, Escorts, Soapy or Oily, you will always have mixed reviews because of tastes. Different strokes for different folks. Evil Penevil is the expert on all things Eden, so hopefully he chimes in with any details you might need (See the links below to two of his prior posts). I believe Nic Frenchy is also a fan. The price has gone up since I last visited a few years ago, but here are my impressions of the pro's and con's and what happens there.
It's been described as a place for porn star sex, and really at it's most basic, you are paying for a 2 girl experience. That's what they are known for. They also have the anal option, and they actually have the girls split by a yellow line, which let's you know who's game for it. FS, BJ, etc. all on the menu. No massage, just lot's of two girl action, and of course mirrors and toys.
The big reason for the mixed reviews is the attractiveness of the girls. No one has complained about the service. It's real hard to complain about two girls working you over, with the zeal of two porn stars, but the girls looks are the big subject of heated debate. I have always said that one should make that determination on their own, first hand.
Personally, I thought the first time was fun, but I did not find the girls attractive. The sex was great, but a bit choreographed. After about the 3rd time, I lost interest. I prefer nice sensual one on one experiences, with more options in terms of looks. The lineup at Eden is quite small.
I have had better experiences at Oily's, Soapy's, G-Club girls, Nana, Soi Cowboy, Beer Bars, etc. The difference is that it will be hit and miss, and at Eden you know what you will get. The performances are consistent there. I prefer to take my chances at landing the perfect girl or at least perfect experience (looks, performance and chemistry). Fans of Eden, will surely argue that they already get that with the Eden girls. To each their own.

The question I and probably many others ask, is why a guy with your great connections and access to so many beautiful birds, spends so much of his valuable time hanging out on a mongers site. Doesn't make a lot of sense. If I had chicks on tap you and no need of p4p you wouldn't find me wasting a great deal of time here; why would I need to?
