Military and Police are above the law
The mayor has the military and police in her pocket. They will try to get their way one way or the other. Her pride is on the line. Things are escalating in this fight of egos. If she loses it makes her look really bad.
They were at flow cleaning when I walked by headed to the beach. They say their going to reopen. So is merengue and classico. Word is the mayor lost in court. No word about how the policia will treat the chicas!
A Real Bummer But At Least The Beach Is The Same-The Good Old Days Are Gone
Decided to hit Sosua in route back to Medellin to start the New Year. Things sure aren't what they used to be with most of the places on the main drag shut down. No street scene anymore except a few stragglers and there's a bar across the street from Rocky's that's had a few girls out in the evening but they are primarily Haitains, and the bottom of the barrel.
I remember the good old days when you could sit on the main drag sipping a beer, and watch the Putas walking up and down the street, strutting their stuff, but no more. I always loved the street scene here, and when Latinos was around I liked that place as well.
I did pick up a box of Generic Viagra with 96 pills which cost 1100 Pesos or about $ 21 USD or about. 22 twenty two cents a 100 MG pill, so quite a bargain for sure.
So if your coming to Sosua, well the beach is great, and the Viagra is cheap.
Besides going to the new place at the end of town where all the girls go now, probably the best way to work this place is using Tinder.
You can look like Alferd E. Newman and you will get dozens and dozens of hits, so best line them up before arriving and screen them, get their WhatsApp number, etc.
I have been staying at Alicia Beach Hotel, formerly CasaCayena, and it's pretty much the same as before but literally vacant. Got my same old room # 309 which took them a year to renovate and I like the location.
Other than that, what a letdown Sosua has been, maybe one day it will return its glory days. I have such fond memories of this place, but have moved on.
