My flight was at 2:10 AM. I took the LAST 10 PM bus from El Centro - 100 feet from the entrance to Ayenda 1235 Botero hotel. The cost is 10.000 COP. The trip took 55 min. There were 2 more passengers in the bus. Nice and comfortable.

This is huge, I have never been to el Centro, and I don't scare easily so ill meander around and see what I can come up with. I will report back, and give a run down of the current situation at the Manson. I do know room 109 is down and anyone with that room booked right now is being put into M2. Not sure how long it will be down for.

El Centro is north from El Poblado and the Mansion. You'll probably want to take a taxi. Tell them Plaza Botero. If you're feeling cheap and adventurous hop on one of the yellow buses going north. I think they're 2200 pesos now. You'll need to pay attention. I usually get off around Parque San Antonio, but you'll probably want to go a few blocks further. Just push the button by the rear door when you want the driver to stop.

You can pick up girls around Parque Lleras, but you'll pay a premium. The selection is very slim until after 10 pm. You can often find girls in the various clubs. Prices start high and go up to ridiculous. Some are scammers. I remember one cute girl trying to talk me into a 3 some and the other one certainly looked like a trannie.

Honestly, your best bet, if you're staying at the Mansion, is to get Facebook info from the girls there. Then mine their friend lists for more girls. You're paying more to stay there. You may as well get the most out of it.

If you want to venture out more, which is a good thing, I recommend using the Metro. You can hop on a bus along Avenida Poblado, going north to Parque Poblado. Get off and go down the hill on Calle 10. That will take you to the Poblado station. Go north (north, and, Niquia, remember) to Parque Berrio. This is your starting point.

Exit the station into the plaza area. There will be a big crowd of people. You're going to need to get used to them, because you'll find lots of people in El Centro. If you find yourself in an area with very few people, you're in the wrong place at the wrong time. Find a clear spot on the steps and sit down.

After a few minutes you'll realize they're just normal people, going about their business. There are girls with Thermos selling tinto (coffee) and there are people talking. Once you recognize it's not a dangerous mob of criminals, it's time to take a walk.

Walk down the steps and head north. You'll see a pink Flamingo store to the right. Ahead, to the left is the Palace of Culture. You can't miss it. It's built from alternating dark and light gray blocks. Turn left, cross under the Metro and walk west. The palace will be on your right, a line of shops on the left. You are entering the south end of Plaza Botero.

Walk around Plaza Botero. Admire the statues. Admire the women. Look for some landmarks. The first one is an old, white church, Iglesia Veracruz. It's at the southwest corner of Plaza Botero. The other landmark is the Museum of Antioquia which is western border or the plaza, along the northern half.

Before you venture further it's time for a warning. Your phone should be kept in your front pants pocket. Your money should be in the other front pants pocket. Do not let anyone grab ahold of you, put their arms around you or get too close. Some of the working girls, especially the trannies, can be aggressive. If someone reaches for you, block them with your hand and say "no. " Usually that's enough.

Now comes the scary part (for some people). Alongside the church is a walking street. Head west alongside the church. Stay to the middle or the left. The trannies usually lineup against the side of the church. At the corner you'll see several working girls. To the left (south) is a casino. Just past the casino there may be some girls sitting in a stairway. You won't find much else in that direction.

Head north. Both sides of the street are lined with working girls. Some might call to you, some will click their tongues at you. Continue north until you come to a big opening on the right. This will take you back to Plaza Botero.

If you're not ready to run back to the Mansion, start expanding your walk. There's plenty to see.[/QUOTE]

I know there are one days bike rides / trekking trips I can sign up for but wanted to find out any recommendations for multi-day bike rides / trekking program. I am an new cyclist but would love the ride the hills of Medellin, especially the one that takes you to the airport. I am planning a 4-5 day trip.

Trip Report.

September 8th 2019.

I was sitting in parque Botero early as I usually do, checking out the lineup and learning new things about Centro. On the first Saturday of the month, they hold something like a flea market at Parque Botero. So I really did not like Saturday that much as the park is overcrowded. On Sunday, as I was saying, I was at Parque Botero early and I was watching the lineup and after speaking to a few regulars a new Vennies shows up and she's impaired and crying and cursing and looking over at me. I quickly moved and walked around Vera Cruz and returned. Once I realized that today would be kind of slow, I decided early that I would return to my room.

Here's a really good tip, no matter how much you like a girl out here when you are mongering, remember you are a monger and you are paying for services. After looking over my choices, I decided that I would wait until my favorite New Vennie showed up and I would ask her best friend for a date. Even you aren't staying in El Centro. Take taxi to Ayenda 1235 Botero hotel or to San Diego and get into the bus. It will be cheaper, safer and more comfortable for sure.
