I am planning a 4-5 day trip.Thanks![/QUOTE]I am not a cycle guy but a surfer, what I can tell you though is you will be at an elevation of about a mile going up to the airport and there are some windy long sections to climb. Also, you should try to schedule a bike ride on Sunday morning as they shut down for Ciclovia on this day. As far as trekking trips, well to me that means prowling the streets of EL Centro. However for hiking, Arvi Park at the top of the Metro-Cable has a lot of hiking trails in and around the area. I am sure you can find what your looking for on the Internet, but I haven't seen a post recently covering the topics your looking for. Maybe someone else has.

There is much less traffic on the old route now. I traveled from San Diego to the airport last week at about 1:30 pm. Trip time was about 45 minutes. One problem was I had to wait 25 minutes at San Diego for the bus.
