The public prosecutor in Pattaya met with many of the Thai and foreign victims of an assistant bank manager who is alleged to have stolen 100 million baht of their money.

Chaisit Sappermpoon is currently being held without bail in Pattaya special prison as evidence is gathered in thirty cases against him.

It is alleged that he used his position as assistant branch manager at a well known commercial bank to convince customers of his integrity and good intentions.

But there is evidence that he did not do that. Instead he used old bank books that he was supposed to have incinerated to convince customers, many of them foreign expats in the resort, that they had funds in their account and were doing well.

Some of these rumbled the scam when they found at other branches that their accounts had been drained, reported Pattaya Update News.

Chaisit also recommended investments and financial packages with high interest but just allegedly stole all the money.

Also in attendance at the meeting was the Pattaya station chief Pol Col Phisit Phoonsap.

Prosecutor Sakda Khlairomsai said this was a complicated matter involving 30 separate cases of fraud.

Any girl worth buying a drink for has a Sponsor. The exception would be if the girl is new and her Sponsor-to-be is still in Thailand barfining her daily.

If I had to guess in the past year more are sending those small amounts, and less are sending big amounts every month.

Although the bars are open, there aren't a lot of customers midweek.

I walked down Soi Honey last night, from Second Road, it was like walking through the Zombie Apocalypse, everything was dark until I got down towards the Soi Buakhow end. At least at that end, the bars were open.

LK Metro was kind of busy, even though many of the gogos are shut. I spent time at the Cave, which was alternating between being full of customers and dead.

It’s the same as in professional sports, for every multi-million dollar contract you hear about, there are thousands of players who make little or no money.

So, yes, there are Thai ladies living in expensive condos paid for by sponsors, but there are also 100s of ladies who bus down to Pattaya, and leave after a week or two with barely enough money to get home.

They would drive the cars and we go places but would never allow inside the condos but gladly will stay with me.

I hope their sponsorship continues.

However, the percentage of bars with both girls and LB in Pattaya has to be around 1-2% of all bars.

Some guys think there are some mixed bars when in fact it's ladyboys and post-ops. Yes, a post-op will tell you he's a girl and the bar will say all girls bar.

Just planning ahead. I have an option to continue working from home. What options in Pattaya do I have for short term rental of 45 days after completing the 15 days quarantine. Considering that we need to show proof of accommodation to apply for the visa, are Airbnb bookings valid evidence? Air BNB does have monthly rental options. A decent broadband connection is also required. Budget accommodation near walking street or soi buakhao below 10 k Baht per month preferred. Thank you for your inputs.

But you can find placee on soidb. Com. I would not commit to anything until I was there on the ground and could see it in person.

The prerequisites for the visa is confirmed booking in ASQ / ALQ and accommodation for entire stay. Normally I walk in and book my stays in Thailand after checking the place, now the government is strict in seeking proof of accommodation.
