Driver / Fixer for Newbies
What does a driver / fixer go for? I will be there on the 26th.
I have just spoken to him, his name is Juan he is a nice guy earning a living. First met him as uber driver and then kept in touch as he was a wealth of knowledge and opened up the places that I was not able to locate on my first trips due to lack of Spanish and being new on the ground. If it is your first time into Medellin or you want a wingman to give you some new places to hang out and feel comfortable as a tour guide he is your man.
Check the prices for a uber from airport to town and he will just take that cash up front etc. He normally ran me to and from the aiport and night time to strip clubs, loutron or casa. When I was in Laureles area we did some street walking together and showed me some casas close to San Peter. I treated him once to a chick for 80 k and he was made up, I remember as I was going into the room with mine he said "bro make sure you don't pay more than 20 k for BBBJ". I knew he was cool after that. I took him for a few beers another time as well.
Anyway his Facebook link is below, say you got it from the ISG website arrange a taxi and take it from there. Previous trips UBER drivers had an issue picking up at airport so greet him like a mate and sit in the front sat etc. Once you get chatting I am sure he can help with your itinerary. His English is good.
I think he has been to Guatape (sugar loaf mountain) more times than there are steps. I said Fixer but to be clear he isn't a pimp and no middle man he just knows where all the P4P places are, just to be clear on that.

Anyone have a good contact number for LifeAfar rentals?
They used to have a US-friendly number for their office, but now they don't.
They have been sitting on my deposit for a long time now and I want it back.
