I will be in Manila next week. Can anyone please explain the pros and cons of picking up in the shopping malls. Which malls do the pimps work from? Best time to go mid week, and your opinion on the Malls versus just going to La Cafe in daylight hours. I am particularly in favor of hooking up with college girls / students that are not hard core and a bit shy.

Arrived in Clark/Angeles from BKK last night. Very nearly not allowed on the plane due to lack of return/onward ticket.
At Clark itself then immigration people don't give a sh t about onward tickets and didn't ask anyone, but at check in on Cebu Pacific in BKK the guy said he couldn't let me on board without one. I tried the noraml BS which worked last time but he insisterd he couldn't let me on board as the airline can be fined 50000 B if they allow someone on board who gets stoped by immiration apparently. Eventually he said all that was needed was the Flight number i would take out so i was able to call my hotel (The Penthouse in Pattaya) get them to look online for a flight number for a Phils air flight back to BKK. (dangerous to give a Cebu Pacific flight as he might have checked it on his system.)
So important advice to anyone travelling to phils without a genuine onward/return ticket: write down the flight number and date of a return flight with another airline other than then one you are travelling with and say you have booked it online an d dont have a print out. I suspect that he knew i didnt really have one but he just had to put something into his sytem to check the boxes. Was a close run thing to catch the flight - last on board etc.

There are no other "beach" towns that could readily fit this description. Even the Subic area is nearly two hours from Manila, and other towns on the Zambales or Bataan Provinces coastline are considerably further than Subic in terms of driving time. It is possible your buddy simply used another name from the Subic Bay area, like Olongapo or Barrio Barretta. Please check out this post from X-Man in the Subic Thread:

If you actually plan to hit the "beach," the water anywhere near where the Olongapo River dumps into Subic Bay is likely to be polluted. The Navy guys always referred to the river as Sh*t River -- for good reason. If you must swim, go either up or down the coast, or check out one of the beaches on the west side of the Bay away from Olongapo.

I believe it was something in the nature of O.L.E.? I have searched high and low and i cannot track down the reference.
What i am looking for is something similar to craigslist for Pinays or even specific to Manila.

It was, I believe, me. I have had a little success with OLX but CL is better.

I saw that the PI floated a bond issue recently that was well received by the international finance community and just today, they announced another one that is restricted to the balikbayans. Whats going on? I've always thought of the pinos as completely lazy and untrustworthy, and lacking any entreprenurial instincts. The country is on par with Haiti and is an unsalvageable mess, basically an open sewer. I would have thought that the only place a foreigner could safely deposit something in the Phils was in a sperm bank. Come to think of it, those warm wet filipina pussys absorb a lot of caucasian cum shots from vacationing mongers and are akin to travelling sperm banks.

Good question, I've also wondered that also. I don't know. However, I went to the Phils embassy and got a 6 month, multi-entry Visa. It was cheap, fairly easy and fast to do. Once I had that, I was set and no worries. Once during my return from Phils, the Immigration guy (a seemingly young, hard body hot head type) said...."You've overstayed!". I calmly said, "No. I have a visa." He was forced to shutup and stamp it. He didn't like being wrong but he was, and he got out of my face.

I think you just have to leave the country and you can come straight back in, but it will typically be cheaper and less hassle to get a visa extension (about $50 or so once all the extras are added in. I thinjk I'm right in saying tha tthe i9nitial extension extends the 21 days to 60 ie an additional 39, subsequent extensions can be for either 1 or 2 months. Any travel agent wil do it for you for say 1000P extra or you can go yourself and hang around the office for a couple of hours if you prefer to save the money
Shit I am still in shock as my Aussie Visa card worked for a booking. Looks like they pulled their finger out and fixed the problem. You beauty no more paying bloody travel agents good money for nothing.
Does anyone know of any university’s/education centers that are close enough to monger locations yet isolated enough to where the students or school officials would not notice. I have been given the opportunity to set up a summer study abroad program in economics. My employer will pay for me to take two weeks for exploratory set up and then it would be a summer program every year after that. This seems like a great opportunity to combine both work and pleasure while my trip cost and stay would be paid for by my employer. Any information on education centers in or near AC, Manilla, Cibu, or any of the other monger locations would be greatly appreciated.
