Cartagena Reports

Let me address some of the clueless responses.

I said I gave myself a *budget* of $2000 a day. I never said I spent that much on any one day but if needed I would have. If you read my posts I clearly never went over budget on anything I wrote so far. So the constant references about my budget are pretty clueless. I never said I *SPENT* $2000 a day.

Juan has some of the best private apartments in Cartagena so what is the issue of renting from him? Yes I could have stayed at the Hilton but that would have made bringing in and out the girls more complicated. The apartment Juan rented me is much larger than a suite in the Hilton anyway.

As for Tony, well he is talked about a lot on here and other forums. This was my first trip to Colombia so I wanted to see as much as possible which also meant meeting Tony. The fact is Tony actually delivered when I wanted him to which is more than I can say for some of the other places I went to.

Riquisimo is very close to where I stayed and is also mentioned on here many times. The steak diner is perfectly fine. So who cares where I eat? Plus the price in Requisimos is not that much cheaper than any of the other restaurants I saw in Colombia.

Anyway, I fully expected this kind of reaction from the price police. I really do not care how you riffraff spend your money and it always confuses me why poor people are so preoccupied with how other people spend their cash. I guess jealousy is a very powerful emotion.

Having just finished my 21st trip to Colombia in the last 2 years I can proudly say....

GO GIVES a fuxk...let him do what he pleases.

If he wants to write short porn stories... let him.
If he wants to enjoy his vacation... let him
If he wants to get robbed... let him
Its his life and maybe he wants to enjoy it.
Heck, I have enjoyed all my trips.. but i get 10 trips to his 1.

One interesting thing for me is the supporting cast. Take Red Maple. His three posts on this thread, and his posting history overall, bridge things together very well for the enthusiatic reader. Anyway, in my opinion, the writing is getting better. "the little one". Excellent stuff.

That last paragraph truly shows that there is a big difference between being rich and having class. A totally classless last paragraph Dazed. I don't nor do most people on this board really give a flying fuck about how much money you have.

However, you may want to read Jelly Donut's post again. He makes a point about being a mark in Cartagena. But then again you have probably decided based on your last posting that he is "riffraff" also.

Perhpas dazed you should go to Costa Rica and rent the Penthouse from Tony Lama Butch at the Del Rey. You would be a big star there, In Colombia you may just end up dead.

There has been a time or two when I was at a location where there was an American gringo present. Their behavior was so bad that I really just wanted to crawl under a rock and hide. Claim that I was from Canada. Anything to get away from them. Or to make people think that no way was I from the same country as that person.

Always wondered what to call them besides a complete pocking *******.

Maybe governor of Illinois?

Another well written and interesting report. But, there have been reports written here, which seemed somewhat "fictional". As a result, some of the forum members are rightfully skeptical. I make a friendly suggestion. Include some photos. Photos might add some authenticity to your reports. And, many of us "enthusiastic readers" (who aren't travelling in paradise now) enjoy looking at photos of hot Colombianas!

PS. Glazed Donut might need to borrow $19. 95 out of your $2000/day budget to buy a membership. Walmat was out of them.

In general I understand what Dazed Confused means, since everybody has their own opinion which if perfectly fine. I would also agree with some things he's saying.

It only seems strange to me that if he is really that "rich/smart/classy...", then why does he need to go to Colombia(to feel truly rich while looking at poor people? at least it sounds like this), to this message board, to pay so much attention to the "walmart" guys who [url=http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140][CodeWord140][/url] him off, and write all these things in detail. I cannot imagine that some really rich poeple would ever do any things like that. They would never consider spending their valuable time looking at another guy's tatoo, getting pissed and then complaining about it on the Internet.

But my main question, how is it perceived in Colombia, when you come in a club with a girl, and other guys try to talk to her and probably take her away. Even though she is a prepago, but clearly she came with me. In Cartagena I came to a club with a girl(a prepago who I've known for 2+ years). And when I was leaving her for bathroom, some gringos were running to her and talking. When I was coming back they were walking away.

I have seen these kinda things in the USA, where desperate guys are trying to talk a girl away from another guy. In other countries(including where I'm from) they would get kicked there butts for that. But why in Colombia where there are plenty of other girls? Or if you wanna talk to the girl then do not run away when I'm back, just introduce yourself.

What kinds of clubs are you taking her to? Tell her not to dress or act like a prepago. This will prevent some of that.

Besides its only rude if they try and hit on her while you're standing there. In addition as Miami noted, if gringos can spot that's she's a prepago and feel that bold going up to her, maybe she needs to tone down the dressing or you need to take her to a nicer place.

It's hard to strike that balance. Say you see a girl you know around town, and today she's with some other guy. It's only polite to give her a "good to see you" sign.

But it's best if not too obvious. It devalues your view of the girl a bit if you're walking with her and other guys are constantly saying "hey!" who've already been there before you and stretched her out.

So what does the infamous Tony look like? Where exactly does he hang out?

I got into Cartagena last night and walked the beach for a while and was chatted up by a black guy named Rapheal (? ) but I had a City tour booked so I didn't stick around. This was close to Calle 4.

Since Tony is a semi legend on this site, I feel I have to at least meet the guy before I leave town.

Tony is moreno with a gold tooth in his mouth and you can't miss him he speaks english and he will say his the "THE ONE AND ONLY TONY #1" and also he will be sniffing his nose like he has a sinus problem but we all know why he really does that. LOL
