Firstly, decently priced hotels in Frankfurt will all be booked up. In Darmstadt, some will be priced 20% higher. Those in Friedrichsdorf and Bad Homburg will also be 20% higher, in case you are thinking of Oase as an alternative.

On the first few days of the Messe, the participants will stream into the clubs at around 7 pm, and all the girls will concentrate on them as they will pay high prices, out of ignorance or desperation. Before 6pm, it will be as normal.

However, on the last day of the Messe (usually a Thursday), the clubs will be packed from the afternoon, as the Messe crowd go on their last fling before their flights home. However, it was no different from a normal packed Saturday, as I think the locals avoided the peak Messe days (Wednesday night and Thursday afternoon and night).

Things are back to normal the day after the Messe ends, as no one stays behind.

The Lighting Messe and the Furniture Messe are not so bad. Hotel pricing was normal. Some participants go to the club, but not enough to make any impact.

Other exhibitions in the Frankfurt Messe in the Fall have no impact.
