Supply and demand?? What is that?
Yes, high / low season are usually the outcome of the travel industry. Whether it was the hotel or airlines. Based on the law of supply and demand. Charging higher prices when supply is low. The bars and girls have also learn from that and just makes sense to follow the trend.
Like they say. It's not personal, its just business.
Cheers.
Besides not knowing how to cut your losses, and what opportunity costs are the idea of loosing face changes all the dynamics of good economic actions here. Like low customer volume, then up the prices to make the total you expect to make. Volume and lower margins?
Short term rentals on soi 6?
Just out of curiosity, does anybody know if they do short term (weekly / monthly) rentals for rooms above the bars on Soi 6?
The action on soi 6 isn't what it used to be
For sure, I'm well aware of how noisy it is throughout the night with the traffic, people, construction, etc. Depending on how expensive it is, I might just try it for a week. There's the convenience of being right next to all the action, food, beer, and the beach. But inconvenience of bad sleep.
The online streaming is the major center piece of the street now. The girls pay more attention to that then real customers. I live in BKK but my Pattaya expat buddies have told me some girls won't ST and some have denied drinks now. Soi 6 is now Soi online.
