Note that the love motel located on Calle 55, around the corner from the others, called Hotel Exótico does not allow gringos, period and this street / area is in the very center of zombie alley where the night is full of homeless druggies, a sight to behold in itself.

Should this area get more popular it will boost the quantity and quality of the area for street girls who ply their trade. Got stopped by the polica yesterday in Botero.

Basically an ID check, I had the passport card which worked great.

Also searched me for drugs, pretty thorough, checked thru my clothing and wallet, etc.

There are some who use old, or photoshopped pictures and there are some fake profiles. Both are easy to spot.

My experience has been 75% for BBBJ and DFK. However, YMMV. In most cases I either shower with the girl first, or sit in the jacuzzi, so we're both clean. Bringing them to the apartment shouldn't be a problem, unless it's against apartment rules. I always tell them to dress conservatively.

The majority of the Posts on this board revolve around these venues.

The El Centro SW scene is for the locals, and if your a gringo navigating the place, your going to have to have an "edge" along with Spanish speaking skills.

I know other mongers that have been taken to El Centro, and when they see people walking around sniffing glue, nasty looking she-males, drunks, and all kinds of other bizarre stuff they don't want to partake and pull something off the street.

We coexist peacefully. The group that hangs around the hotel entrance on the south end of Parque de Bolivar have a running joke with me. Whenever I pass I nod and say "caballeros, buen día". It's all in fun and no one disrespects anyone.

The problems start when people are aggressive or demeaning with them. Also, of course, Crying Game situations don't tend to end well. They deal with a fair bit of harassment but they don't put up with it without a fight. I've seen them go ham on people and it's not pretty.
