I am not the most creative writer but thought I would post my 27th visit in 5 years to AC. Lots of changes to AC in 5 years. But the reason to visit is still the same

Arrived at Manila a Friday morning and taxied to AC. I always stay at the Wild Orchid since switching from the Orchid Inn when the Wild Orchid opened. Very safe and convienent location. The food is pretty good too.

Hit the Dollhouse and said Hi to my friends and barfined for the afternoon a regular. Great BBBJ and mish to take the edge off. Sent her home at 6 pm to get ready for a new chat girl I was meeting.

Yes the Tourist Police have been eliminated as of a few months ago, so there is a significant amount less of police presence on Fields ave since that time. On more than a few days each week, the Police no longer block off Fields ave to vehicles.

Day 3 in Angeles - I LOVE this place!!!

The days pass slow until the action starts at night, but if you are lodging at the Pacific Breeze, you can relax by the pool, swim a few laps, ogle the young hot waitresses and the working girls who accompany old guys, etc.

As an expat living in the phils I am too familiar with this crap. In this case my girl is superbly fit but was dressed to the nines in LBD & killer heels.. We were on out way out to start a nice evening. Just seemed such a mood killer to force her to walk across that busy road & across the jeepney terminal dressed like that. I haggled with the driver in English & Tagalog & then my girl ripped into him in Pampangan to no avail.

Last week back in Malate one night I needed a ride from Robisons to Qurino LRT station. Pedicab driver demanded p80. I declined & he abused me telling to go back to my own country. I stepped away from him, hailed a modern clean aircon taxi which charged me p60 for the trip instead. Honestly these trike drivers & pedicab guys are so stupid..

Like you noted, many times a MF will refuse to budge from a ridiculous price (and this happens to Pinoys who are not savvy believe me). But there is ALWAYS another taxi or trike who will take the real fare (although in AC the "real" fare is a ripoff too). Many taxi drivers will insist on fixed fare then will sit empty while people get others who will use meter.

Fedex: PB rents laptops for $5 a day and it is MUCH better to surf the web in your room than a cafe (except at 3am when they are filled with BGs just off duty on YM or Friendster).

Want to avoid barfines without the police risk of freelancers: get a BG who just finished her shift and is going home alone. Often they are still drunk from LDs somebody else bought them.

If you have light luggage only and the weather is fine, it's an easy 5 minutes walk out of the airport as I do it always.
I've never waited longer than 5 or 10 minutes for a jeepney, pay my 11ps nowadays and another 10 minutes later I'm at the Maingate.

The other one which is about to take the crown of being the top disco bar in AC is Klub Class which has just been re-modeled. This bar has added a state of the art sound system and also will now begin having live bands and videoke. Klub Class and Sky Trax are about 4 doors down from each other so you can check them both out. The advantage of the two discos are you meet the stray bar girls who are off or just out having fun and looking for a playmate.

I did not go to Club Klass last month when there. But in my past visits there It had a small dance floor and very small in size. I would think to be the #1 night club in a. C. It would have to have more space for patrons and a larger dance floor. Have you seen the inside? I would be interested in the changes that were done. There is a big disco on MCarthur bivd across the st from the Pagore casino.

Due to the instability in Thailand I am going to change my mongering trip to the Philippines. Given I will be leaving this Friday I am trying to quickly read all the posts so I know where to go in the Philippines, how much for the girls etc.

Can anyone share a post that gives a good guide for Philippines newbies? I dont know where to fly into, what city to go to etc.
