Depends if there is chemistry between the 2 of you. I always offer 200 k for extras plus I tell them I would like her to to stay a couple of hours. Some of them will still want to leave before. I'm learning Spanish but as of now I can say Hi and such, asking for price and that's about it. Without Spanish, it would be hard to build any chemistry. Or it's just my bad luck. It is not downtown, but rather in the more upscale sector of Medellin, Poblado. The chicas in Gustos will come down in price to 200-300 pesos if you wait them out, never negotiate in dollars. Just tell them you know the deal and they will walk away, but then an hour later they will come back to you, and accept the 200.

Tantra has been my least visited casa. However, I must post about today's visit. I chose Melissa. Paid 85 mil pesos upfront and entered the room. Melissa entered a few minutes later. Thanks.[/QUOTE]Wear what you are comfortable in. You're on vacation. For most of us, there is no such thing as blending in, so don't bother trying to dress like a Colombian. You're not fooling anybody. Anybody who tells you that you need to "blend in" to avoid being robbed is delusional. It's using common sense (like not pulling out cash or an expensive cell phone in public) that keeps you safe rather than whether you wear shorts.

I usually wear a pair of jeans a white t-shirt, and a short-sleeve overshirt. I would not call it dressed up.

Thanks.[/QUOTE]I wouldn't say it's "dressed up. " Typical dress is jeans, a t-shirt, and sneakers. You can wear a blazer if you want to, but it's not typical.

BTW I wouldn't put all of Colombia in the same category. If you're in a city on the ocean (Cartagena, Santa Marta), shorts are fine.

After arrival I took care of business, details, local phone and some grocery shopping with invaluable assistance of local female guide Estefania who can be found on Columbia Craigslist under Services. She is bilingual, very smart, savvy and non-judgemental about everything you want to know or go to. She is a safe driver and easy on the eyes.

Next day was local Valentine's Day, but it also a family reunion type holiday, so none of the ladies I have been in contact with were available until the next day. I made a date for noon Sunday, who showed up at 3:30. Stunning petite 20 year old who came like a freight train many times and drenched my sheets. When you use a credit card in most places your waiter will bring a small device to you table that has a printer. After some entries from your waiter out come a print out of your bill. You hand him your CC he sticks it into the portable CC reader then after approval of your CC out comes the form that you sign and a receipt. As I understand it no one including your waiter sees your CC number except the last 4 numbers. If your waiter, while holding your CC says something like I will be back monetarily. Lot's of guys are fixated on "hotties", but for those of us, myself included, who lower it down a notch, there's an endless supply available in Medellin. That's the beauty of this place, all shapes, sizes, and colors available in different venues. I can't think of an all around better place to enjoy this sport. It's kind of like a really good surfing spot, easy to get to, warm water, good and long consistent waves to ride, and no crowds.
