Thanks Carp. I've been reading that some bars can rip you off in terms of how much they can charge per drink. Is this the case if I walk into any bar? Or do I just have to worry about buying multiple drinks for the girls? I'd hate to walk into a bar and worry about paying a crazy fee just for one beer. Especially worried about causing a scene over a few drinks but not wanting to get crazy ripped off.

There's also a few in the Patpong area in Pattaya (the ones promoting ping pong shows). I don't know all the bars but ones that overcharge are the rare exception, definitely not the norm. Don't let it sway you from visiting random bars you think look interesting. It will ruin your trip worrying about these little things.

I've never been a fan of artificial or psychological limits (if you think someone's hot, they're hot). My concern would have been similar to yours. Not so much that I'd have trouble because of uh.
