Did the trip. Should have known better
So I'm trying to figure out how to get from Subic Bay (Olongapo) to Batangas Ferry Pier in order to get to Sabang. I've been RTFF, and I've found some conflicting information. For example, the Victory Liner (while I'm sure it exists) doesn't list any departures from Olongapo back to Angeles. Besides, that's quite a backtrack. Taking a taxi from Olongapo to Batangas is likely to cost 5 k PHP, and while that itself won't break the bank if there's a better way I'm sure you reprobates know what it is.
I've already managed to find the ferry schedule from Batangas to Puerto Galera. Sabang looks like a blast. I'm just not sure of the best way to get there from Subic Bay.
Also I've tried to look up the minibus schedule for door to door service from Angeles to Subic Bay; seems like a steal at 650 PHP. However, I can't find any listing for it online.
As always, any nudge in the right direction would be helpful and appreciated.
Been there done that in 2016. Seemed simple at the time. Cost me half my trip. Lesson learned. Just pay the money for a taxi from Subic to Batangas or better break trip up into Subic to Manila and then 2nd trip Manila to Sabang. In 2016 pulled a hammy chasing bus who still had my bags underneath and took off then had some dodgy water that was sold on the bus. End result got to Subic and sat in the shower all night. Both ends of the intestine going. Felt llike sh*t. Was so bad booked return flight home. Lesson learnt. Pay for the comfort of a taxi.
NI.
Something interesting (accurate?)
So I came across this grab taxi fare calculator: https://www.taxifarefinder.com/main.php?city=GrabCar-Manila-Philippines.
It seems to think that getting a taxi from Subic to the Batangas Ferry Terminal is under 3 k PHP and takes something like 4. 5 hours.
Can this be accurate? The route seems to take the Manila Skyway so traffic reporting may actually be effectively predicting the travel time.
