By far the easiest way I have done that trip is to catch the Air Juan Sea Plane. It did run direct Subic to Sabang a couple times a week. I'm not sure if it still does but call to find out. If you are doing the above by private charter the seaplane works out cheaper let alone saving time and hassle.

Even flying via their little dock in manila would be much preferred.

I think they offer also transportation + 1 night hotel package for about 1500 p, I never paid much attention to it, I don't know if that's the right price, but I remember that it appear to be cheap.

My hotel charges about 8 K for the hotel taxi from Angeles to Batangas (tollway included).

Take the bus from Olangopo to Dau (Angeles). I've never done that route. Should be easy. Or to San Fernando. San Fernando should save a few minutes, but not that much.

I've taken the public bus from Batangas to Dau (Angeles) many times. I've never taken it from Dau to Batangas, but it should be similar / easy.

From Batangas, you take the bus to Cubao (in Manila). Then you get off, and ask the staff where to take the bus to Dau. They are always helpful. So from Dau (Angeles), you just go in the opposite direction.

Note: if you take the public bus, it will hit traffic in Manila. Hotel taxi takes less than 4 hours from Angeles to Batangas (since it will take the skyway in Manila).

If you take the public bus, you will need to go very early to catch the last boat to Sabang (actually, the new pier between the town and White Beach).

I am assuming you can go via San Fernando, but I've never taken the bus from there.

Just pay the money for a taxi from Subic to Batangas or better break trip up into Subic to Manila and then 2nd trip Manila to Sabang. In 2016 pulled a hammy chasing bus who still had my bags underneath and took off then had some dodgy water that was sold on the bus. End result got to Subic and sat in the shower all night. Both ends of the intestine going. Felt llike sh*t. Was so bad booked return flight home. Lesson learnt. Pay for the comfort of a taxi.

Maybe someone can go for a beer to night moves and take a look at the ad, or ask for details, I'm not in angeles right now.

I did the trip to puerto galera once with the minivan from royal amsterdam, but I don't remember how much it was.

But many people here work for less, in non-standard jobs (ie, washing clothes for a neighbor who has a home laundry biz). Pay might be 300 for a grueling day's work. Additionally most girls don't have any work, nor do they have access to it. Selling the slit might be an only opportunity, and selling it locally might be impossible as so many girls are giving it away. Hence, selling to a foreigner for 500 or 1000ST might be a good idea in her mind. The idea that a foreigner might toss her p7 k or p10 k for 5 days / nights with him might blow her mind (and might make a new foreigner think he's stealing it from her).

Thing is, the last ferry to Sabang was at 1 pm. That was in 2023, they might have later ones now, but check the schedule before you go. The guys at the information booth at the ferry terminal recommended I go to Calapan and then take a jeepney to Sabang, but I arrived in Calapan too late. Fortunately a local I met on the ferry had his brother take me to a decent hotel and then they came back in the morning and took me to the minivan terminal.

I highly recommend breaking it up into two days and spending the night in Manila. Subic to Manila one day, then go to Sabang the next morning.

If you go to the Victory Liner website, and if you want to go from Olongapo to Angeles, you have to select Olongapo to Dau. Dau is the bus station that serves Angeles. Cubao is the bus station that you need to go to if you want to go from Dau to Batangas (via Cubao).

BTW, Royal Amsterdam hotel in Angeles charges 7200 pesos for a car from Angeles to Batangas. 7900 for a crossover. If my memory serves me, it took about 3. 5 hours.

Also, when you get off in Batangas, be warned about touts around there. Some will want to rip you off. One had a BS story, and he said I should buy a ticket in one of those shack offices in front. Be careful about any Pinoy that wants to help you. Just go inside to the new big terminal and buy your ticket.

It seems to think that getting a taxi from Subic to the Batangas Ferry Terminal is under 3 k PHP and takes something like 4. 5 hours.

Can this be accurate? The route seems to take the Manila Skyway so traffic reporting may actually be effectively predicting the travel time.
